<p>Principia High made history by winning its first state championship this week at the Class 3 championships in Columbia at the Mizzou Arena. After surviving close games with Highland and Centralia in the sectionals and quarterfinals, the Panthers dominated the Final Four with victories of Skyline and St. Vincent to take the state championship.</p>

<p>The 6'2" 2027 All-State forward averaged 19.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in the Final Four to lead the Panthers to the state title. She was dominant in the semifinals against Skyline with 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. She was getting buckets from in close and also from 3-point range as she displayed her versatility throughout the two games.</p>

<p>FIRST TEAM</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='897772' first='Loganne' last='Love'] (Principia): The 5'5" 2028 point guard averaged 16.5 points and six rebounds along with 4.5 assists in the Final Four. She was brilliant in the championship game with 19 points, three rebounds and six assists against St. Vincent. She scored 15 points in the first half, including three 3-pointers to get the Panthers rolling.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='317336' first='Kate' last='Rubel'] (St. Vincent): The 6'1" 2026 forward had a strong two games as she averaged 12.5 points and seven rebounds in leading St. Vincent to a runner-up finish. She had a double double in the semifinals against Lone Jack with 13 points and 11 rebounds. She also added three assists and two blocks while making three 3-pointers.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1117235' first='Shelby' last='Redd'] (Skyline): The 5'7" 2027 guard averaged 20.5 points a game at the Final Four to lead Skyline to a third-place finish. She had a team-high 25 points against Principia in the semifinals, then added 16 points and three rebounds in the victory over Lone Jack in the third-place game.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1279115' first='Aniyah' last='Poniewaz'] (Principia): The 5'3" 2029 guard made the first team on the strength of her big performance against Skyline in the semifinals, where she had 13 points, three assists and two steals. She was a sparkplug off the bench for the Panthers throughout the season.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='317351' first='Brie' last='Rubel'] (St. Vincent): The 5'10" 2027 guard helped lead St. Vincent to a third-place finish with 12 points and seven rebounds against Lone Jack against Lone Jack. She had five points, four rebounds and a game-high six assists against Principia in the state championship game.</p>
