This game was decided on the glass. Central Valley struggled to find consistent offense from the perimeter and finished just 3 for 16 from three. When shots did not fall, Hermiston capitalized with defensive rebounds and second chances on the other end. The Bears were within striking distance early, but Hermiston built separation through physicality and patience. Central Valley shot 30 percent from the field, and while the defense kept things competitive for stretches, the lack of sustained scoring made it difficult to apply pressure. Hermiston finished with 41 rebounds to Central Valley's 32 and 17 offensive boards. That difference showed up in extra possessions and ultimately in the final margin.

Lanphere did not have a big scoring night, but she worked to create space and keep the ball moving. She defended well and stayed within her role. In a physical game, her discipline stood out.
