Mead jumped out to a 16-4 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Panthers dictated pace early with disciplined half-court defense and strong rebounding. Kamiakin struggled to find clean looks and shot just 24 percent for the game. The second quarter widened the gap as Mead continued to defend without fouling and limit second chances. By halftime the tone was set. Even when Kamiakin showed signs of life in the third quarter, the Panthers stayed composed and closed the door in the fourth. Mead's defensive rebounding stood out. The Panthers pulled down 33 defensive boards and held Kamiakin to just two made free throws all night. In a playoff setting, that level of control matters.

Who Stood Out

Kostelecky led the Panthers with 12 points and controlled the glass with eight rebounds.
