PCA Lady Lions Win Division ll-A State Crown

The Lady Lions of PCA went into the final game of the Division ll-A state game on a mission. With a deadly inside/out attack that has been hard to stop all year, they went up against a talented USJ Lady Bruins squad and unleashed the fury. Though the game was tight early on, the second quarter was when the PCA attack broke loose and compiled an 18pt quarter, leading at the half 36-21.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>PCA dominated the paint out scoring their opponent 38-16. From guarding one of the best players in the state to making extra effort plays, she was impactful anytime she was on the floor. A play that stands out was her hustle down the sideline to connect on a pass from Allie Melton as the time went out. That play alone gave them the momentum that sealed the deal. She dominated the painted area, not only scoring buckets, but making the right plays. She was consistently doubled and tripled teamed, and she made the right reads to get out of trouble. She found the bucket consistently, scoring 17 points and finishing with 8 boards. Her presence on the floor created more attention for her teammates to operate. She gained the attention of the PCA defenders multiple times down low, seeing double teams around the block. Her mid-range game was on point as she connected multiple times.
