As an integral part of team 2 which dominated most of the field Sunday, Peyton showcased her ability to not only score the ball at will, but also make life difficult for opposing players. A guard who was consistently in her stance, she was seldom surprised by things happening around her on the defensive end. Whether she was sitting down on crossovers or using her speed to rotate into help side positions, it’s clear Peyton doesn’t mind doing the dirty work to help her team win.

This was a player that did all the little things that made her team successful. You need a player like her on the floor at all times. If you need a rebound she will go get it. If you need a bucket she will power her way in and power slide for a layup. She is aggressive getting to the rim and cradles the ball with power which allows her to draw a lot of fouls and convert at the free throw line.

Giving the call to McCauley is a good call for any team. The Bulls of 7A Hickory Ridge are set to be well-represented this Sunday in Rock Hill – as will the Charlotte Dream Elite travel team. At the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Southeast Kickoff in late March, McCauley was another of our top performers on a Charlotte Dream Elite team that played up in that 15U division and finished sans a blemish in Hickory. She previously played her middle school ball at Hickory Ridge MS. McCauley has also tried her hand at other sports – specifically track and field and specifically the shot put. 

The 14U field at the Southeast Kickoff had to be thrilled that Charlotte Dream Elite 14U was playing up in class in the 15U division. McCauley is one of the many impressive youngsters wearing its uniform and she was part of an offensive onslaught on Sunday that overwhelmed Carolina All-Stars 15U BSB. McCauley’s versatility and overall talent is what enables her to make things happen as a three forward in addition to in the backcourt. Physicality is another key element to her game. McCauley is currently playing at Hickory Ridge MS and will be one to watch when she arrives in the high school ranks with the Ragin’ Bulls.
