<p>Saturday, March 7th I attended the 6A Championship at Arizona Veteran's Memorial Stadium with <strong>Valley Vista Monsoon</strong> vs <strong>Highland Hawks</strong>. The Monsoon from start to finish controlled the game and ended up winning <strong>69-31. </strong></p>

<p>A scoring point guard has an impressive stat line with 16 points and 11 assists plus 8 rebounds. She has next level court vision with a good pace for the game. She will score with threes off the catch or pull, mid-range jumpers and speed dribbles drives with plus body control in the lane. Her burst makes her game go. </p>

<p>An undersized point had a great showing with 7 points and 7 assists to go along with 4 rebounds. She will hesitate and get downhill and has a tough jab step pull-up from mid-range. She sees the court well and has some speed to burn in the open court. </p>

<p>Another undersized point guard is the scoring type. She made some tough shots with her left hand driving to the basket with layups, she has a nice floater game but her catch three makes her game go with a very quick release. She scored with 15 points 5 rebounds and 3 assists. </p>

<p>One of the top sophomores in the AIA showed off with 18 points 10 rebounds with 4 blocks. She dominated the paint with hook shots, drop steps and she was hyper efficient inside the painted area. She gobbled up every rebound and alters or blocks shots.</p>

<p>A tough power forward who was literally playing with a torn ACL. She gave it all she had and the<strong> </strong>lefty got downhill with tough layups and scored with offensive rebound put backs. She is also a sneaky good passer. She finished with 8 points 6 rebounds 2 assists and 1 steal. . </p>

<p>A tough wing forward is the heart and soul of the team. She rebounds the ball in and out of her area and will defend and play multiple positions for them. She will score with rip thrus, multiple counter moves and offensive rebound put backs. She scored 16 points with 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. </p>

<p>A wing forward with some size and toughness. She hustles for loose balls and will run the floor well. She does a little bit of everything for the Hawks and covers a lot of ground on defense. She filled up the stat sheet with 4 points 4 rebounds with 2 assists and 3 steals. </p>

<p>A good sized scoring guard is highly skilled and comes with deep three point line range. She has a quicker trigger and enough speed to get a step on her defender to get to the basket. She makes smarts reads and finished with 6 points 3 rebounds and 1 assist. </p>
