Emilee plays with poise, but more importantly, she plays with belief. There’s no panic in her game. Highland is going to lean heavily on her experience and leadership if they’re going to knock off top-ranked Hamilton. She understands pace. She understands situational basketball. And she knows when to assert herself. She gets to her spots, makes the right reads, and she’s comfortable taking big shots.

Searle added to the mix by making plays especially in crucial moments on both ends of the floor. She competes hard and showed nice ability to hit shots from deep. I am surprised her recruiting has not heated up yet but after the performance against Hamilton, I expect her stock to climb!

Serale is next up on our list and could be due for a breakout season in her junior year at Highland High School.
The 5’8″ forward (listed at 5’10” on Max Preps) has a good combo of size and strength for her position. During her sophomore season, Serale averaged 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 steals, 1.7 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game. She put up these well-rounded numbers in 29 games while shooting 42 percent from the field.
If she continues to grow into her game it’s easy to see her catapulting into the top 50 in the state. We’ll be keeping tabs on this Highland Hawk.
