Young Talent Making Noise at the FL/GA Spring Showcase

The FL/GA Spring Showcase took place Saturday on the FSCJ campus, bringing together talent from the 2026 class all the way down to 2032. With a wide range of age groups competing under one roof, it created a great opportunity to evaluate emerging prospects and track development across multiple classes. A strong turnout of college coaches and media added to the environment, giving the event a high-level feel and providing players with meaningful exposure throughout the day. Here are some of the young prospects that caught my eye:    London is a real hooper who played with great pace all day. She pushed the tempo and showed off a tight handle with a quick crossover. On the defensive end, she was active and disruptive by using her quickness to get after the ball on every possession. She knocked down corner threes and finished a tough runner with her off hand offensively as well.     Autumn has a lengthy frame and showed a great ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. She had a smooth baseline drive that led to a bucket and finished well through contact against older players. She stayed active on the glass and crashed the boards on both ends. Autumn is one of the best 2030 prospects I've seen in Florida so far.     Tonya has excellent size and length for her age. She stood out with her effort on the boards, creating second-chance opportunities with offensive rebounds especially. Her timing when blocking shots was also impressive by using her length to make an impact on the defensive end.     Charlee showed tight handles and played with confidence off the bounce. She finished a nice scoop layup under a defender and showed touch around the rim. She also shot it well from the deep, especially from the corner and knocked down a clean stepback three to show off how deep her bag is.     Taylor was on fire from deep at the FL/GA Showcase and knocked down multiple 3's. She moved well without the ball and made some smart, sharp cuts. On defense, she had a really nice blocked shot in transition. Taylor did a great job making the extra pass and finding her teammates all day long. Her vision and ability to read the defense stood out, showing the growth that comes from practicing against high-level competition every day during the high school season.     Jada has great size and length on her frame and knows how to use it. She can stretch the floor with her shooting and makes an impact on both ends of the floor. She had an emphatic block on defense and on offense finished strong at the rim, including a tough and-one. Jada is the best 2031 I've seen in Florida and someone who will grow her game by playing up this spring/summer.     Eva was the youngest player at the showcase but didn't play like it. She got low and competed on defense and stayed locked in on that end. She showed strong vision as a passer and delivered a nice one handed assist for a bucket. She can shoot the three ball well and plays well beyond her age.
