Taylor’s move presents an opportunity to showcase a different side of her game. Coming from a program that has won multiple state championships, she now joins an American Heritage team where she’ll be expected to play a much larger role than she previously had. One of the biggest positives this spring has been seeing her earn quality minutes and thrive in extended stretches, providing a better look at how her game translates when given more opportunities against players her own age. The increased court time has highlighted her ability to impact the game in a variety of ways, and now she’ll have the chance to carry more responsibility on a team that could make some noise this season. I’m looking forward to seeing how she embraces that new role during the FABC Scholastic Live Period and what her expanded workload looks like in a different environment.

Taylor was on fire from deep at the FL/GA Showcase and knocked down multiple 3’s. She moved well without the ball and made some smart, sharp cuts. On defense, she had a really nice blocked shot in transition. Taylor did a great job making the extra pass and finding her teammates all day long. Her vision and ability to read the defense stood out, showing the growth that comes from practicing against high-level competition every day during the high school season.

— don’t let her size fool you, she plays tough and physical. Defensively, she was all over her matchups’ personal space and actually elevated her play against more aggressive ball handlers. Taylor sat in her stance well, moved laterally with quickness, and held her own even against stronger opponents by fighting to recover and stay in position. Offensively, she embraced contact at the rim, finishing through traffic or drawing fouls without hesitation. Taylor is the type of player who shows up in big moments, stays in shape, and plays through adversity—the kind of competitor every team needs.
