16U All-Tournament Team at The Shootout Dallas
In this article:
It was an outstanding day of competition in Dallas, and the student-athletes in the 16U division competed exceptionally well. There was a lot of great competition during the tournament. However, these five athletes rose above their peers to earn All-Tournament Team honors.
The young ladies selected for this year's All-Tournament Team represent the gold standard of high school basketball. They displayed the skill, grit, determination, and mental toughness that separated them from their peers.
There is no doubt these athletes possess the Basketball IQ and the necessary skill set to compete at the next level. At Prep Hoop Girls, we look forward to continuing to watch them grow, develop, and excel in high school basketball.

(SG, Team Mamba, 16U) Simply the best overall player in the 16U field. Angelina is the 'total package'—an elite two-way threat who should immediately be placed on the 2028 Watch List. We are saving the deep dive for our 'Top Guards' and 'Defensive Standouts' articles, but make no mistake about it, she should also be included in the Prep Girls Hoops rankings for 2028.

(PF/C, Top Prospect Hoops, 16U): She is an exciting basketball player with elite 'hops' that impacted every facet of the game. (PG, Team Mamba, 16U) She was the best point guard in the 16U division during the tournament. Her on-court vision and court awareness set her apart from her peers. I watched her progression from the first game to the second game, and it was a 360. It was as if the light bulb had come on, a phenomenal performance in the championship game. An in-depth analysis of her skill set will be included in the upcoming 'Top Guards' recap.

(C, Team Mamba, 16U) is a true post player with great upside. Her growth on the court is incredible, given that she has only been playing basketball for two years, according to her coach. She is a dominant force down low who can score with her back to the basket and outwork opponents in transition. She is a phenomenal talent who is just scratching the surface of her potential. Keep an eye out for her in our upcoming reports on the tournament's best bigs and defenders!
Ka'mara Thomas (C, Prime Time Family, 16U) Thomas is a traditional post player who can play with her back to the basket. She impacted the game through relentless effort, rebounding, and shot-blocking. She can finish at the rim, and she can get out and run in transition. Look for a deeper dive into her post-performance in our upcoming 'Top Bigs' feature.
