When they learn to love the game of basketball and put the work into acquiring the tools to enhance their game, they start to believe the game can take them anywhere. Technically, that is true, but a kid can't necessarily control their altitude. Neither a coach nor a scout can measure a kid's heart, but a kid has to go out and believe each and every day that the work they are putting in will help them rise to another level.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When I look at this 2029 class, I see a lot of under-the-radar prospects who, once they believe in themselves, can take their game to another level. They have a solid foundation of skill. They have the measurables. They pass the eye test. What they have to do is believe in what they are doing and push through any adversity that may come their way. There are levels to this game. Each must be mastered in order to get to where you want to go. Sure, you will be hit with a dose of reality, but it is a choice to believe that where you hit that adversity, is it your peak or is it just a roadblock you must overcome.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are a lot of girls who have shot an airball, had a bad day at the office. Tons of kids who have committed turnovers and played through injuries. Once you believe that you will succeed and overcome, things tend to look brighter and brighter because you have that belief in yourself and those around you.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2029 class has tons of kids who, once they believe in their gifts and the work they are putting in, will become prospects in their own right. Right now, they may be little used or get spot minutes here and there. Her offensive game may get a lot of praise, but it's her defense that also stands out as well. She can block shots, anticipate, and get steals, and then contribute on the boards. She was an important piece for the Lady Eagles this past season. She has a mid-range game as well and is solid in the screen game, too. Defensively, she is physical, moves well, and makes it tough for opponents to get anything in the paint. She's big time on the boards and really is a force in the middle. She's been battle-tested and continues to get better each and every time she steps onto the floor.
