The Prep Girls Hoops Freshmen 50 – our first full ranking of the Class of 2030 – will debut this fall, shortly after the PGH Freshmen Showcase in September. That event gives incoming 9th graders one final chance to make their case before the list goes live. In the meantime, we're spotlighting 20 rising prospects who've already caught our attention – players we've been watching closely in recent months. So far we've introduced 15 names on our 2030 Watch List. Today, we continue with the final five standouts from across the state.

As always, a quick reminder: Prep Girls Hoops rankings are based on long-term potential at the college level. Current production plays a role, but it's not the whole story. These players are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

Many will already be familiar with Watkins. Both Georgia and her twin sister, Shea, have asserted themselves as strong contenders in the Class of 2030. Georgia, a 5'10 wing, is built for the college game. She's quick, moves well laterally, elevates over defenders, and has a long, lanky frame. The Minnehaha Academy 8th grader is proficient with the ball in her hands, easily exploding off the bounce to get to the rim. On the defensive end, her length and athleticism make for a consistent threat along the perimeter. The [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] standout is definitely a player college coaches will want to get to know.

Much like her twin sister, Georgia, this Minnehaha 8th grader has all the physical tools required to succeed at the college level. Standing at 6'0, Shea's size, combined with her mobility and quickness in the open court, give her the versatility to play multiple positions on both ends of the floor. The [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] forward finds much of her offense on the move, excelling as a rim runner and transition scorer. Watkins' steady hands and positioning around the basket give her advantages on both ends of the floor. The Redhawks 8th grader is a skilled rebounder and crafty finisher in the paint.

It should come as no surprise to see Wilson on this list. Having already collected more than a half dozen high-major offers, the Hill-Murray 8th grader has proven herself to be an elite prospect on the national level. Standing 6 feet tall with tremendous speed and athleticism at her disposal, Ashlee is an immensely skilled three-level scorer who brings a high degree of confidence each time she steps on the court. Already playing in the 16U division on the AAU circuit, the [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] guard's poise on the court and feel for the game are well beyond her years.

A consistent performer against opponents several years older, Wright has been making a major impact on the AAU circuit and at the varsity level for several years now. Lightning quick and an outstanding ball handler, Lariah brings a spark each time she steps on the court. Much like her Division 1-bound sister Lanelle. the Minnetonka 8th grader plays with poise and composure, has an outstanding basketball IQ, and is a dependable passer with a keen sense of where to put the ball. On the offensive end, the Hoop Habits standout provides a reliable scoring threat from beyond the arc.

Still an underrated prospect in the Class of 2030, Youngberg has certainly shown that she has what it takes to succeed at the next level. Lengthy, explosive, and fluid athlete, the [program_tooltip program_id='713021' first='West' last='Central United'] guard has tremendous athletic potential. Ehlin (pronounced Ellen) has a smooth, left-handed release on her three-point shot. She's a consistent threat from the outside, but can just as easily find a burst of speed to get to the rim. On the other end of the floor, the Little Falls 8th grader shines as a perimeter, on-ball defender. She'll be a scholarship-level prospect when all is said and done.
