Playmakers Make Noise at MI College Tour Wayne State

The PGH MI College Tour continued with its second stop at Wayne State, where a full day of action inside the fieldhouse kept the circuit moving forward. With multiple courts in use, the setting once again gave players a strong platform to compete and showcase their skills. I was positioned at Courts 1 and 2 throughout the day, getting a close look at the 16U and 17U groups as they took the floor.   Throughout the tournament, several playmakers separated themselves with their ability to create and control the game. Guards and wings consistently broke down defenders off the dribble, pushed tempo, and made smart reads to set up teammates or finish plays on their own. From drive-and-kick action to timely pull-ups and transition chances, these players impacted the flow of games by making the right decisions with the ball. With college coaches in attendance, prospects competed with purpose, showing they can produce and make winning plays.    Emery, a guard for [program_tooltip program_id='1239258' first='HB' last='Elite'], was one of the playmakers who stood out at MI College Tour II at Wayne State. She plays with a relentless motor and consistently created disruption on the defensive end, using her energy and instincts to force turnovers and apply pressure. Offensively, she attacked the rim with confidence and finished through traffic, flashing a smooth euro step in the lane. She also showed strong court vision, delivering a sharp wrap-around pass to her post for an easy score. Emery's ability to impact the game on both ends made her a clear playmaker to watch throughout the event.     Savannah, a point guard for [program_tooltip program_id='944011' first='Team' last='Synergy'], was another playmaker who made her presence felt at MI College Tour II at Wayne State. She's quick, athletic, and elusive with the ball, using her handle to keep defenders off balance and create space. Her constant energy and hustle showed on every possession, especially when pushing the pace in transition. Savannah did a strong job creating opportunities for both herself and her teammates, consistently making the right reads and delivering plays throughout the day.     Ella, a guard for Ladies First, was another playmaker who stood out at MI College Tour II at Wayne State. She played with her foot on the gas throughout the day and showed confidence handling pressure while bringing the ball up against the press. Ella is a strong ball handler who stayed composed in traffic and helped her team stay organized offensively. Defensively, she brought consistent energy, jumping passing lanes for steals and deflections while also coming up with a few blocks. Offensively, she knocked down a mid-range jumper and did a good job attacking downhill, drawing multiple defenders and making the correct read to keep her team flowing.     Kaylee, a guard for [program_tooltip program_id='952340' first='The' last='House'], was a playmaker who made a strong statement at MI College Tour II at Wayne State. She is currently on the watch list, and after this showing she is a player we will need to get into the rankings. She plays with high-level athleticism and speed, consistently getting downhill in a hurry and putting pressure on the defense. Kaylee handles the ball well in the open floor and uses her quickness to create advantages, finishing effectively around the rim through contact or in transition. Defensively, she was active and scrappy, competing hard and making things difficult for opposing guards. Her ability to impact the game as a dynamic playmaker stood out, as she consistently created for herself and set up teammates, showing she can elevate the play of those around her.     Stella, a long guard for [program_tooltip program_id='715695' first='Michigan' last='Vice'], was another playmaker who stood out at MI College Tour II at Wayne State. She handled the ball well and consistently got downhill, using her length and control to put pressure on the defense. Stella showed versatility in her offensive game, even posting up smaller guards and finishing efficiently around the rim with solid footwork and touch. She made good decisions while attacking, often drawing multiple defenders and finding the right reads, and proved she can finish through traffic when the lane was crowded. Defensively, she showed her versatility by guarding multiple positions and staying active in passing lanes, highlighted by a heads-up steal on an inbound pass that led to an easy score.
