We are midway through the Spring, and we have updated the prospect rankings in all four graduating classes currently enrolled in high school. For many of the ladies in the Class of 2028, they begin leadership roles at their high schools, and several of them will start getting significant attention from college coaches. The overall list (rankings & watch list included) has expanded from 135 total prospects to 150 total prospects. With that said, below is a look at all of the small forward prospects in the Class of 2028. Below the rankings chart are some quick updates on a handful of uncommitted prospects.

I've been a fan of Kei'Maija's since I first saw her in April of 2025. She is a long, athletic, confident ballplayer who just goes out and plays on instinct. She has a natural, almost playground feel for the game, something missing in a lot of female hoopers today. She has always been athletic off the bounce, but this year she is shooting it much better, and she has turned herself into a multilevel scoring threat. She is every bit of 5-9 now, pushing 5-10, and she will switch to a shooting guard once we update rankings again in June. I'd be a little surprised if shoe company clubs didn't start calling soon.

Ella is one of the most productive 2028s in the state through two seasons of high school basketball. She is a nice small school player, a well-rounded athlete, and she's tough, strong, and assertive to the basket. She likes to drive the ball, play inside the arc around the mid-post, and she looks to get easy buckets on offensive rebounds and dump-off passes from teammates. She has a solid handle, but as she adds a perimeter jumper, she could make herself that much more difficult to defend. She isn't a travel baller, and she is a multisport athlete, so I'm not sure what sport might be in her college future.

Kennedy's entire team was impressive when I was able to see them at The Clash, so it's taken me until this article to say how impressed I was with her specifically. She's another one who will change positions to that of a shooting guard next time we update rankings. She plays with a tremendous motor, she's a nice all-around athlete, and she has really improved her handle and her perimeter shot. She was limited on an outstanding Class 4A State Champion Center Grove team, but I would guess she'll be well in the mix as a Junior, and she could be a key to their continued success.

McKenzie is a long, wiry-strong, athletic front-liner who can play around the perimeter, in the mid-post, or even attack the baseline consistently. She transferred from Warren Central to Greenfield-Central this past year, and she added a different type of athlete to the Cougar lineup. She has primarily used her athletic talents defensively and on the boards in the past, but as she continues to get acclimated at G-C, I am curious to see what she can do in the near future, especially with guards like [player_tooltip player_id='990044' first='Riley' last='Schellhammer'] and [player_tooltip player_id='736459' first='Izzy' last='Silcox'] getting her the ball in positions to score.
