However, what separates Hendrickson from most post players is the energy and effort she puts into her minutes. Hendrickson isn't shy about using her physicality and can record a double-double on any given day, and she has the touch around the basket to score through contact. Hendrickson is a player who can catch some people's attention this spring and summer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='917718' first='Vonna' last='Shill']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Personally, the effort players have on the floor is the first thing I look for, and Shill's game is based on how hard she plays whenever she's on the floor. Shill played plenty of minutes for Pius XI and didn't have a significant scoring role, but you always knew when she was on the floor. Shill may be a 6'0 guard, but she may be the most athletic guard in her class. The way she gets off the floor to rebound is impressive, and she has an edge to her game on the defensive end.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1092830' first='Heidi' last='Olson']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Albany/Monticello guard is a player who has played winning basketball as long as I've known her, and her teams win games, and it's not a coincidence. Olson is a steady offensive player who can get downhill, handle the ball, knock down perimeter shots, and move her feet while guarding talented ball handlers. She is a kid who may not have much flash or be a household name around the state, but kids who play winning basketball tend to catch coaches' attention.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='991141' first='Keira' last='Bailey']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I thought Bailey had her moments this season with Hartford and had some impressive games, especially in the Orioles' home win against Whitefish Bay. Bailey is at her best when she's doing all the dirty work around the basket, rebounding, creating extra possessions by rebounding on the offensive end, and finishing through contact. Her ability to earn a double-double without getting many, if any, sets for her is what can take her to another level if she does that consistently.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
