The 15U division at Brawl at the Palms featured players who impacted the game in various ways. Whether creating offense for teammates, making instinctive defensive plays, pushing the pace in transition, or simply controlling the flow of the game, these prospects consistently found ways to make their marks. In Part 1, we highlight these playmakers- a group of players whose versatility, feel, and basketball IQ stood out throughout the Brawl at the Palms.

Godfrey was one of the most impressive all-around performers in the 15U division, showcasing a well-rounded offensive skill set and a mature approach to the game. She knocked down perimeter shots off the catch with confidence, ran the floor with purpose, and consistently played under control regardless of the situation. Capable of finishing with either hand, Godfrey demonstrated touch, balance, and composure and maintained the same steady demeanor throughout the weekend Godfrey plays well within the flow of the offense, showing strong chemistry with her teammates and an understanding of spacing and timing. Particularly impressive was her shooting mechanics—she consistently got her feet set, caught the ball ready to shoot, and released quickly without hesitation. Her confidence, efficiency, and ability to score from multiple areas of the floor made her one of the most complete scorers and playmakers in the 15U division.

[player_tooltip player_id='1322088' first='Samireyah' last='Pettway'] impacted the game at multiple levels on the floor. The athletic guard combined her instincts, basketball IQ, and hustle to consistently make winning plays. Whether it was anticipating where a play was developing, catching errant passes, creating transition opportunities with rebounds and steals, or keeping possessions alive with effort plays, she always seemed to be around the basketball. Pettway also showed touch in the mid-range game while making smart decisions on the offensive end of the floor. Her ability to affect the game on offense, defense, and transition , coupled with her feel and athleticism, made her one of the more exciting playmakers on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1860831' first='Anna' last='Birmingham'] — Birmingham wasted little time establishing herself as one of the top players on the floor. The dynamic guard showcased a complete offensive package, knocking down a deep three-pointer, attacking the glass, and pushing the pace in transition. Her explosive first step consistently created separation, while her hesitation move and ability to finish with either hand made her difficult to contain. Birmingham also displayed strong playmaking instincts, creating opportunities for teammates after breaking down the defense. Her blend of quickness, skill, and confidence allowed her to control stretches of the game offensively.

Maxenat immediately caught the eye with her combination of size, length, athleticism, and overall upside. The young prospect displayed a smooth, confident three-point stroke and proved capable of knocking down perimeter shots with consistency. She also showed the ability to attack the rim with both power and agility, giving her multiple ways to score. Defensively, she used her length and athleticism effectively to disrupt plays and compete on the court. Still developing and only beginning to tap into her potential, she possesses the physical tools and skill set that suggest she will be a prospect worth following closely, years after the palms are lgone.

[player_tooltip player_id='1273442' first='Brianna' last='Nolan'] continued to establish herself as one of the up and coming top 2029 point guards. Her leadership at the point and her ability to control the pace of the game were very noticeable. In transition is where you see the magic in her game. She can stress a defense out with her ability to attack the rim on offensive sets and on fast breaks when she has the defense on its heals. The young guard was exciting to watch and she ‘s just getting started with major upside beyond the palms.

[player_tooltip player_id='1862614' first='Makenzie' last='Lehigh'] was one of the most under the radar players I saw this year. Lehigh has a lot of tools in the bag and she had them on display at Brawl at the Palms. She shot the outside ball well and could also step behind the three and knock it down. Getting down hill and to the basket was also one of her strongest assets. Defensively, she used her length to contest shots against shorter guards. Lehigh and the scoreboard are well acquainted. She averaged over 24 points per game and over 7 rebounds per game during high school ball last season. Lehigh didn't disappoint and was a standout. The bucket getter is no longer under the radar after emerging from the garden of palms. She was one of the top playmakers at the tournament.
