Duel For the Dynasty: 15U Frontcourt Standouts

The spotlight was shining bright at Duel for the Dynasty, and the 15U frontcourt talent made sure everyone noticed. Throughout the weekend, forwards and centers stepped up with toughness, physicality, and a nonstop motor that separated them from the competition. Whether it was controlling the paint, finishing through contact, rebounding at a high level, protecting the rim, or stretching the floor offensively, these athletes showed they already understand how to impact winning basketball.   What stood out most was the versatility from the frontcourt group. Some forwards played with strength and dominance around the basket, while others displayed mobility, face-up ability, and the skill to attack from the perimeter. Coaches and scouts saw players who ran the floor hard, battled on the glass, communicated defensively, and made hustle plays that shifted momentum throughout games. The combination of size, athleticism, effort, and basketball IQ proved this class has serious upside moving forward.   From physical rebounders and rim protectors to skilled stretch forwards capable of scoring at multiple levels, the 15U division was loaded with frontcourt talent deserving attention. Duel For the Dynasty gave these athletes an opportunity to compete on a big stage, and many took full advantage by showing they belong firmly on the radar heading deeper into the AAU season. At 6'2” in the Class of 2030, she already has the size and length that instantly stands out on the floor. Listed as a Power Forward/Small Forward out of Sudan, Texas, Ava brings positional versatility and a strong foundation to keep building on.   What makes Ava intriguing is her frame, mobility, and ability to impact the game around the paint while also developing as a face-up forward. She has the tools to rebound, finish inside, contest shots, and become a matchup problem as her skill set continues to grow. With continued work on footwork, ball handling, mid-range touch, and confidence attacking from the wing, Ava has a chance to become a strong two-way forward.   For a 2030 prospect, her ceiling is high. The size is already there — now it is about development, reps, toughness, and learning how to use her length every possession. Ava is definitely a young name to keep watching.     [player_tooltip player_id='1314147' first='Jade' last='Murray'] is a gritty, high-energy forward who brings toughness, effort, and leadership to the floor. At 5'10” in the Class of 2029, she has good size for her age and plays with a motor that shows up in the little things — rebounding, defending, communicating, and competing every possession.   Her game is built around hustle and physicality. Jade crashes the boards hard, especially on the offensive glass, where she can create second-chance opportunities and keep possessions alive. Defensively, she brings a hard-nosed mindset, uses her voice, and takes pride in being a dependable presence for her team.   Offensively, Jade adds value with a reliable mid-range jumper and the ability to finish through effort plays. As she continues to expand her handle, footwork, and perimeter confidence, she has the tools to become an even more versatile forward. Murray is the type of player who elevates the energy of the group and impacts winning beyond the stat sheet.     [player_tooltip player_id='1817383' first='Zoe' last='Soto'] is a tough, high-impact frontcourt prospect who brings value through effort, rebounding, defense, and winning plays. At 5'11” in the Class of 2029, Soto is listed as a Power Forward/Center and plays at Keller High School, while also being listed with NTX Raptors.   What stands out most is her ability to be a “glue” player. She may not always need the ball to impact the game, but she finds ways to hold things together by rebounding on both ends, making defensive stops, and creating momentum plays. Prep Girls Hoops scout Simmie Colson noted that Soto made key plays that helped start or stop runs, which speaks to her awareness, toughness, and feel for the game.   Offensively, Soto can continue growing as a finisher and face-up forward, but her foundation is strong because she plays hard, understands her role, and competes inside. Defensively, she gives her team a physical presence with the ability to battle in the paint, clean up missed shots, and make winning plays that do not always show up in the box score.   Soto is the type of young prospect coaches love because she brings toughness, energy, and dependability every time she steps on the floor. As her skill package continues to develop, her ceiling will keep rising.     [player_tooltip player_id='1274237' first='Dahlia' last='Rebella'] is a strong 2029 frontcourt prospect who already carries attention as a ranked player in Texas. At 5'10”, she brings good size, strength, and activity around the rim, giving her team a dependable interior presence on both ends of the floor.   Rebella stands out with her ability to finish through contact and play with power in the paint. She has shown growth in her footwork and fluidity, making her more comfortable operating around the basket. Her timing as a rebounder and shot blocker also adds value, especially when she is active defensively and controlling space inside.   What makes Dahlia intriguing is her combination of toughness and development upside. She already has the physical tools to compete, but as her offensive skill package continues to expand, she can become an even bigger matchup problem. Rebella is a prospect to keep watching in the 2029 class.     [player_tooltip player_id='1235628' first='Kadyn' last='Byndom'] is a powerful and athletic frontcourt prospect with a strong motor and good mobility. At 5'10” in the Class of 2029, she brings size, strength, and versatility as a Center/Power Forward, while competing with [program_tooltip program_id='715168' first='True' last='Texas Hoops'].   What stands out about Kadyn is her blend of power and quickness. She moves well laterally, shows good agility for a post player, and has the tools to defend, rebound, and run the floor. Her physical style allows her to battle inside, finish around the rim, and create second-chance opportunities through effort.   Defensively, Byndom has the potential to be a tough interior presence because she can move her feet, hold position, and contest shots. As her footwork, touch, and face-up game continue to develop, she can become a strong two-way forward with matchup value.   Kadyn is a high-upside 2029 prospect who brings toughness, athleticism, and a competitive edge every time she steps on the court.
