She came on strong down the stretch against Redline, notching another routine double-double with 12 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Ava has deft footwork around the basket, playing off two feet with balance. What makes her have a D-I ceiling however is her growing offensive arsenal. She hit multiple jumpers throughout the weekend with range out to the three-point line. She netted a pair of 15-footers on Saturday. Jenkins creates mismatches on the perimeter with her footspeed and ability to get to the rim through contact. In transition, Ava is a terrific rim runner that must be marked at all times. She rips away boards from bigger players and is able to convert putbacks. Continuing to add to her offensive game will help open things up for her. Janiyah played all over the floor against Team Elite Hubbard, most impressively helping handle the ball against the press as she showed a nice feel with speed. Weaver still isn't packed with muscle per say but she has improved her functional strength throughout the years and doesn't get pushed around much. She can be a game wrecker on defense whether blocking shots down low or forcing turnovers at the top of the 1-3-1. D-I schools have ramped up their recruitment as of late.
