Sadie Cox of Lenox High School put together an impressive high school career to look back on but recently she has signed to compete at Southwestern CC and I'm sure she is looking forward to getting to work as a college athlete. Cox has been a name we have spoken about for years now because of her production out of the Post position. She has put up huge numbers ever since she was a Freshman and that stayed true until her last game as a Senior just a few months ago. This is a hooper that is going to get better, really quickly with the right guidance moving forward. She has all the intangibles to be a real factor over the next couple of seasons if she were to take care of business in the off-season.

Kroymann is our last prospect ranked within the Top 35 of the 2026 Class to commit to the next level for her future. Beginning this Fall she will attend Coe College out of Cedar Rapids as she tries to continue to build on her overall game. This is a solid move for both parties. Kroymann joins a competitor that has been really good the last couple of years at their Division level and in return, Coe is getting a lengthy Forward that should be able to produce for them for years to come once she gets comfortable at their level. I know the school portion of things played a big factor in her decision so she is really getting the best of both worlds when it comes down to it and that's what really matters following a successful high school career.

Dubuque got a PG with great decision making skills and a calm demeanor in Claire King of Wahlert Catholic. Not to mention that she can make it rain from deep when she is feeling herself offensively. King plays with a lot of confidence. Confidence and energy. She knows how to play the game the right way and how to get everyone on her team in their correct spots. She makes everyone else around her better with her creating and passing ability. That's been a consistent theme all of high school and I'm sure it will be a theme for the Spartans at the next level as well. The way she can control the pace of play and ultimately the outcome of a contest is impressive. I hope we continue to see that.

Zoey Reed is another prospect out of Lenox High School that will be joining up with Southwestern CC to begin her college career. Reed competes as a PG/SG, depending on what is needed of her. She can move to play both positions but stands out more as a PG with her natural position. We are going to learn a lot about Reed early on this Fall. If she can show her toughness and play with purpose, she should be someone that this group see's steady production out of in one way or another. It might take her a little bit to get a custom to the speed of everything but once she adapts to that, she should be just fine.

Last week Ashlee Brown announced that she committed to Penn State WBB for her next season. This decision was a shocking one to everyone that hasn't been paying attention or looking at the fine details of how the recruitment game works now a days. I'm not sure if Brown is going to be able to see a ton of time but she does have the tools to show that she belongs. She has good size at 5'9/5'10, she is skilled on and off of the ball offensively while being scrappy on defense, she understands detailed game strategy within the X's and O's, and she competes with a chip on her shoulder every time she takes the floor. When you combined all of that together and mix it with her attitude, you get someone that is going to compete every chance she can get so it wouldn't shock me if we hear her name called a few times this upcoming Winter for the Nitty Lions.
