as it pertains to being someone that could compete at a high rate at the next level. Brown is lengthy at 5’10, athletic, she has natural instincts on both sides of the ball, and she plays with a ton of grit. She loves physicality when she gets near the bucket and she never seems to back down from a challenge. There are a few colleges that have reached out to Brown the last few months from the low D1 level. With the right guidance and motivation this is someone that could definitely play and thrive at that level in the correct situation. In this Update, Brown moves into the Top 35 to finish off her high school career. A respectable place to be within a loaded Class.

I am surprised about a few prospects in this Class and their lack of offers.

is one of those prospect because she is solid as an overall competitor. Brown has good size for her position, she works off the ball really well, she can be a three level scoring threat offensively, she can defend multiple positions, and she plays with an aggressive but calculated demeanor. When you add all of this together you get a hooper than can get the task done. Whatever that task maybe and Brown shows glimpses of that. Brown does possess one D1 offer at this time but I’m sure there would be a handful of schools out there interested in her talents if she wanted to continue on with her basketball journey.

recently received her first D1 offer a few weeks ago. Brown, an athletic CG at 5’9, competed out of Chicago this past AAU Season with Example Sports but to finish out her high school campaign she will be on the floor for DSM Valley one more time. Brown does a lot of things well. She can get to the bucket off the dribble as a 2/3 or she can space the floor and run her team’s O as a 1. She is more natural as a 2/3 from my experience but it all depends on the athletes around her on the hardwood. At the next level Brown is versatile enough to move between a few different sports depending on the situation so that should help her case to play in a few different systems. If she can find her niche early on wherever she goes, she should put together a nice career over the next 3-5 years.

is going to be a weapon at the collegiate level with the correct guidance. Brown is out of the Des Moines area, competing for Valley during high school ball but during AAU season she travels to Chicago, Illinois to compete with Example Sports UAA out of the city. This is a CG with an awesome combination of natural athletic ability, smarts, and coordinated skill. Brown can be a handful. When she gets down hill with the ball she is tough to spot. Defensively, because of her size she is also versatile in who she can guard. She can stick with someone smaller or wall up against someone bigger if need be. All in all, a lot to like about Brown as a hooper.

Ashlee was quietly a very important and impactful contributor to her team’s success at the Victory Region Finals. She had plenty of moments that made me say wow throughout the weekend. Ashlee closed out quickly to block shots on the perimeter and shot out of a cannon to secure offensive rebounds. She showed off her athleticism during an impressive fake-pass eurostep layup and after blocking a shot on the perimeter, sprinted down the court, made a great adjustment to make an over-the-shoulder catch, then finished confidently with her left hand. Ashlee played great defense all weekend for Example Sports Wolfpack 2026. She is an All-Tournament Second Team selection.

Ashlee was important to the Example Sports 2026 Wolfpack comeback win on day one of our Victory Region Finals. She used a jab move to throw off a defender and then blew by to cause a foul at the rim. Ashlee deflected a ball out of bounds, worked hard to pursue rebounds, and moved well laterally to keep ball-handlers from driving. She blew past a defender with a fast flex cut and scored the layup with a powerful finish. Ashlee has athleticism, strength, and toughness that leave an impression.

brings to the hardwood. Brown is a prospect that competes with grit, physicality, and coordination in everything she is doing. In this one she was a guard who brought up the ball at times and she also played off the ball as the SG. No matter where she had it, she was always someone that did a solid job of squaring up to the hoop, looking for an opening with the defense in front of her. All in all, this is someone that has offers to compete at the next level following high school and I understand why. When you watch her play, you can see the promise almost right away. It’ll be interesting to see who eventually lands her in recruitment but now I’m sure she is just worried about putting together a final AAU season to remember.

of Des Moines – Valley and what she brings to the court. Brown isn’t the type to hit you with anything crazy or flashy. Instead, she uses fundamental and hard-work to create her production. She has demonstrated that she is one that is willing to take her time and show her moves on a consistent basis, really selling whatever she is attempting to do on that side of the ball. Defensively, she works hard. She can move between a few different positions and yield successful results, no matter where she is stationed. All of this ability was on full display on Saturday. She ended up fouling out in her contest but that wasn’t due to a lack of effort. That is for sure.

brings to the table. Defensively, she’s a lockdown defender that brings energy to her team – she’s got the athleticism and IQ to defend high-level players. Offensively, Brown has the ball on a string, can finish with both hands at the rim, and is a consistent threat from behind the arc, hitting the first two threes of the game with ease. Brown finished with 13 points, 4 boards and 2 steals on the night while only shooting 6 shots – I envision lots more of this efficient production from Brown for Valley this season.

AAU on the travel scene. As of most recent, Brown took a visit to Milwaukee, where she checked out the facilities, eventually bringing home an offer. This Valley Tigers program is in an interesting group. They have several individuals that can change an outcome of a contest with their ability, so as long as their coaches set them up for success, they should win some highly anticipated games this upcoming season in the grand scheme of things.
