The future of the game was on full display at Jazz City Jam, and the 14U division may have been one of the most exciting groups in the entire event. While some players arrived with attention already surrounding their names, it was the hidden gems that truly stole the spotlight throughout the weekend.

This division brought nonstop energy, competitiveness, and passion every time they stepped on the floor. From opening tip to final buzzer, these young athletes played with confidence far beyond their age, proving that the next wave of talent is already rising fast.

What stood out most about the 14U division was the fearlessness. Players attacked bigger defenders, embraced physical basketball, dove for loose balls, and competed with intensity every possession. Guards controlled tempo, pushed the pace in transition, and showed flashes of advanced court vision. Wings made impacts all over the floor with versatility, athleticism, and hustle. Bigs battled inside, protected the rim, rebounded through contact, and brought toughness to every matchup.

Several players showed the ability to completely shift momentum with their effort alone.

That's what made this group special.

These hidden gems weren't focused on hype or recognition—they simply came ready to compete. And because of that mentality, multiple athletes left the weekend turning heads and building names for themselves among coaches, scouts, and basketball supporters in attendance.

The skill level throughout the division continued to rise as the weekend went on. Players knocked down big shots in pressure moments, made winning plays defensively, communicated with teammates, and displayed a level of toughness that coaches love to build around. Some athletes flashed elite upside offensively, while others separated themselves through hustle, motor, and defensive intensity.

The scary part is many of these prospects are only beginning to scratch the surface of what they can become.

Jazz City Jam gave these athletes the perfect platform to showcase their growth, confidence, and potential against strong competition. Every game felt competitive, every matchup felt important, and every player had something to prove.

One thing became clear throughout the weekend:

The 14U division is loaded with rising talent.

The hidden gems are coming.

And after performances like these, don't be surprised when several new names begin making serious noise moving forward.

Did you miss my most recent article?
Tap in using the link below and stay updated on the latest evaluations, rankings, and rising prospects.

Follow me on Instagram or X: @CoachLathan

Jazz City Jam: 17U- Their Time is Now | Prep Girls Hoops

Jazz City Jame: 16U Hidden Gems | Prep Girls Hoops

Jazz City Jame: 15U Hidden Gems | Prep Girls Hoops

Jazz City Jam: 13U Top Performers | Prep Girls Hoops

Jazz City Jam: 16U Top Performers | Prep Girls Hoops

Jazz City Jam: 17U Top Performers | Prep Girls Hoops

Jazz City Jam: 15U Top Performers | Prep Girls Hoops

Ke'Lani Jackson made her presence known at Jazz City Jam with her toughness, versatility, and competitive energy throughout the weekend. The 5'5” guard played with poise throughout the weekend while impacting the game as both a scoring threat and playmaker from the backcourt.

What stood out most about Molly was her feel for the game and ability to play under control. She showed confidence handling the basketball, making smart reads, and creating opportunities within the flow of the offense. Whether operating as a point guard or off the ball as a shooting guard, she displayed versatility that allowed her to impact multiple areas offensively.

Molly also flashed the ability to stretch the floor and score when opportunities presented themselves. She played with confidence, stayed aggressive, and showed good court awareness throughout the event. Her size in the backcourt combined with her overall skill set gives her intriguing upside moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1847287' first='Kendall' last='Chambers'] brought toughness, confidence, and high-level energy to Jazz City Jam, proving why she continues to trend upward as one of the rising guards in Louisiana's 2030 class. The 5'1” shooting/combo guard played with intensity all weekend long and consistently impacted the game with hustle, effort, and smart decision-making.

What stood out most about Kendall was her ability to control the pace while staying unselfish and composed. She made strong reads with the basketball, created opportunities for teammates, and showed flashes of scoring ability when attacking openings in the defense. Her quickness and confidence allowed her to handle pressure while continuing to make winning plays throughout the event.

Defensively, Kendall competed with nonstop effort. She embraces doing the little things that winning players do—diving for loose balls, locking in defensively, communicating with teammates, and bringing intensity every possession. Her motor never slows down, and she consistently plays with the type of effort coaches love from a floor general.

Offensively, Taylor showed strong court vision and the ability to control pace while keeping teammates involved. She made smart reads, handled pressure well, and showed confidence creating opportunities off the dribble. She can stretch the floor with her outside shot while also attacking downhill and finishing through contact when defenses overplay her jumper.

Defensively, her intensity helped separate her throughout the weekend. Taylor pressured opposing guards, stayed active in passing lanes, and competed with physicality despite her size. Her toughness and willingness to compete on both ends gave her team energy whenever she was on the floor.

At Jazz City Jam, [player_tooltip player_id='1812525' first='Taylor' last='Aydell'] proved she's not just another young prospect—she's a competitor, leader, and rising guard whose stock continues to trend upward.

What stood out most throughout the weekend was her motor and willingness to compete in multiple areas of the game. Ella battled hard around the basket, rebounded through contact, and consistently played with energy on both ends of the floor. She showed flashes of being able to score inside while also stepping out and making plays in space when needed.

Offensively, Ella played with confidence and stayed active within the flow of the offense. She moved well without the basketball, attacked opportunities when they came, and showed the ability to contribute as a physical presence around the paint. Her versatility allowed her to impact different matchups throughout the event.

Defensively, she competed with effort and toughness every possession. Her length and activity level helped her challenge shots, battle on the boards, and bring physicality to the floor. Ella embraced contact and played with a team-first mentality that coaches love to see from developing prospects.

The future of the game was on full display at Jazz City Jam, and the 14U division may have been one of the most exciting groups in the entire event. While some players arrived with attention already surrounding their names, it was the hidden gems that truly stole the spotlight throughout the weekend.
