This past weekend was a Live Period for collegiate coaching staff's to scout high school competition in-person all across the Country. We had teams from Iowa travel all over to do their thing and show what they are made of. Here are five prospects that did really well throughout the past couple of days as they competed within their Grade-level.

This weekend Zabel did a good job of holding her own on the road. Whenever you have a live period weekend, you know the competition is going to be at their best and Zabel did great in controlling what she could while being productive on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she converted underneath at a steady pace when she had timing and space, she rebounded hard off missed shot attempts, and she kept most of the opposing team off the boards at the same time with her box-out ability. Defensively, she did what she was suppose to do. She communicated at a high rate, crashed hard, and clean up most of the messes in-between the blocks. We still aren't sure where she will end up come college but she should have options at the end of the day.

K.T. stepped up multiple times this weekend to produce for her Missouri Phenom - Iowa hub team. TeBockhorst, the 5'7 PG, is coming off of a successful Freshman campaign with Independence High School and she is looking to continue to build off of that. To kick things off we saw her put up some decent numbers in the scoring, rebounding, and defending categories through out Saturday. She was someone that her team could look to in close contests to make some sort of play to help her squad to victory and I hope she keeps that up because that is the type of prospect she should always be whenever she takes the floor. She is skilled enough and has the intangibles. Now it's just about making it happen.

It's always a fun time watching Grace McCann compete against other elite ball players. McCann is a selfless and well rounded prospect, that shows up on every floor she competes on. She catches some strays for not being her team's leading scoring threat all the time in AAU but I think you need to look deeper into her play-style if you are lookin to find her worth. She does everything really well, including the small things, which leads to a lot of success when the final buzzer sounds. She might not be the one to always lead in scoring but she stuffs the stat sheet better than most for her age group and that was on full display as her AIA EYBL team did some work on the road over the last couple of days.

Emily Tanny came off an impressive high school season and she picked up right where she left off as soon as she took the AAU floor. Sometimes when a player has a big high school season and they get used to that level of competition they slow things down and that does not translate to the EYBL AAU floor so it's nice to notice that Tanny is still holding her own at a competitive rate. She has been all Spring long and that was the case once again this weekend. If she can keep this production up and keep up her shooting efficiency from deep then she will continue to be in the talks for that #1 spot out of the 2029 Class in Iowa. Those are two really important factors in that individual race but I'm sure that is something that is not even crossing her mind at this point in the process, which is probably a good thing.

Usually at this point in a young players career we would still be a few years away from mentioning them in general but it's noteworthy what Cleo Jenkins of the Forest City area is doing right now. She is a 6th grader, playing up on an 8th grade team and she is helping lead this group on both ends of the floor. She is someone that is scoring in the double digits each contest so far this Spring on the road and she hasn't been a slouch on defense. It's not always the, be all - end all, when you can score the rock at a steady rate but it definitely helps. At this rate this is someone that is going to be years ahead of her 2032 Class if she continues to challenge herself with older competition. We have seen historically if the prospect is good enough to handle all of that pressure from a young age, they usually turn into a killer by the time they hit high school but we will just have to wait and see how things play out for the skilled PG.
