Live Period Week 2.. Guards To Add To Your Schedule (2027s)

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Another live period is here, which means staffs are back on the road looking for future pieces to add to their program. No matter the circuit, the competition is always there, and programs are searching for players who can help elevate them as quickly as possible. Below are some players worth adding to the schedule.</h3>    Mersinger is still one of the fastest and most explosive guards in the state. She's a paint threat whenever the ball is in her hands. The first step is quick, the handle is tight and shifty, and she doesn't seem to run out of gas over the course of a game. Defensively is where I believe she has improved the most. She is super aggressive when guarding the perimeter, has fast hands, and plays with a strong sense of awareness. She brings energy on both sides of the ball and continues to show why she's one of the tougher guards to deal with in the state.     A two-way threat at the guard position, Herron has no type of pause or stop in her game. She is quick, fast, and always head up, eyes up when she's moving with the ball. She has strong touch around the rim and shows some craftiness as well. On the opposite end of the floor, she applies that same pressure defensively. A player to definitely follow as the AAU season goes along.     Meehan has truly grown in her overall skillset. The handle has always been there, along with the ability to knock down the three ball, but she has added more playmaking to her game as well. The passes are pinpoint, sharp, and on target, and she knows how to put others in position to score. She is the catalyst for a solid Big 3 team and can continue to put them in winning situations.     Every program needs a player like Flores. Someone with the ultimate confidence in herself, and it shows in the way she plays. There's not a look on the court that she feels she can't make, and not a spot she feels she can't get to. Whether it's on the ball or off the ball, the kid has some game. She has been able to play a role with her AAU team and be the leader during high school play, showing a strong balance of being able to switch roles depending on what the team needs.     There's not a lot of players who can score relentlessly like Williams, and she has been consistent with that output over the last couple of years. She has a strong package that can fit into most systems and plays heads up basketball when she needs to switch into more of a facilitating role. As this 4C program continues to get more known and win on bigger stages, Morgan will be a key part of that.
