In the first half we saw several moves where Nifong hit a back door cutter for an easy layup at the rim, along with other type of assists to open teammates off of their movement. She made smart plays down the floor as a passer, she rebounds on both ends, and she is always one of the first to help up a fellow teammate. She knows how to create off of the dribble drive while also being able to switch it up and score on the drop of a dime in tight situations. She can handle, she knows when to attack, she can defend her own possession at a steady rate, and she mainly makes great choices when the rock is in her possession. She stays aggressive as she looks to get down hill on offense and she knows how to finish when she gets near the bucket. In general I would categorize her as a solid PG/CG that has a smooth game. She can be the primary ball handler with her fundamentals or she can play off the ball, making big cuts to the basket off of their movement. We have seen her get to her spots a few times this afternoon to begin their 12:20 contest. She can spread out the floor with her shooting ability from deep off the catch and she is someone who plays help-side defensive extremely well when the clock is running down. With her size and skill, she is a tough matchup for a good amount that attempt to slow her down. She can go over the top and keep it simple over smaller individuals and she is crafty enough to counter if she is ever cut off. Cooksley has some raw skill combined with a natural feel for the game at the guard position. Standiford is a taller prospect than most and she moves pretty freely at the Forward position. She understands her height advantage whenever it's in front of her and she knows l to keep it simple over everything else. One or two power moves off the catch and it's either going up for an attempt or back out for an offensive reset. That's what you like to see as a coach. Direct action with intent.
