Ayla is one of the more intriguing prospects in the state! Her height, length, and fluidity as a mover while standing five feet ten inches is unique. Defensively, she can guard the opposing team’s best offensive player and bother them with her length and quickness. She can also be the low man and protect the rim with her wingspan. She’s a Swiss Army knife on the defensive side of the floor. When she’s playing on the offensive side, she cuts really well into open spaces and can play off the catch well. Attacking closeouts and finishing at the rim, and shooting the ball, is something you can’t forget about when she’s your assignment, because she will make you pay. Ayla is trending in the right direction to be a scholarship level player.

She can spread out the floor with her shooting ability from deep off the catch and she is someone who plays help-side defensive extremely well when the clock is running down. With her size and skill, she is a tough matchup for a good amount that attempt to slow her down. She can go over the top and keep it simple over smaller individuals and she is crafty enough to counter if she is ever cut off. This is another solid recruit for CHE 16U.”

A confident shooter with size and an underrated ability to rebound, she contributes in multiple ways even when her shot is not falling. While she did not shoot it well in this setting, her confidence never wavered and her stroke looks pure, pointing to future consistency. Her movement off the ball is smooth, her points are always valuable, and she continues to show the traits of a reliable scoring threat who will knock shots down over time.

She competed at a high level throughout the games I watched, consistently bringing energy and effort on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she showed the ability to get her shot off quickly, especially in transition, where she was able to capitalize and score in open space. She doesn’t hesitate when she has an open look and is confident in her ability to let it go with rhythm.

Defensively, she was active and disruptive, showing a willingness to compete and make plays. She stayed engaged on that end of the floor, applying pressure and being a presence that opponents had to account for. Her motor and ability to stay involved throughout the game were noticeable, as she continued to impact plays even without the ball.

Overall, Ayla showed a well-rounded game, a strong work ethic, and a competitive edge that allows her to impact winning in multiple ways.

Allen was one of the best watches of the weekend. She has a long wingspan and good size to pair with very strong lateral quickness. Defensively, she was outstanding on the ball, consistently using her foot speed to beat offensive players to spots, wall up, or poke the ball loose, often turning those plays into transition opportunities. On the offensive end, she showed a very good understanding of how to move without the ball and cut into open space for easy finishes. She also played extremely well off the catch, especially when she was decisive and in attack mode. On top of that, she knocked down multiple threes over the course of the event. Allen is a true wing prospect and a player who should continue turning heads moving forward.

Allen is your plug and play type of prospect. Her length at this stage in her career is her biggest attribute, and she knows how to use it well. The defensive end is her calling card, whether that’s being aware and effective on the boards, providing a paint presence down low, or acting as a ball hawk when a zone is in place. She can make things happen on that end, and as her offensive skillset starts to take shape, she could be a solid piece to give you impact on both ends.
