Potential Rank Risers: 2027 Point Guards

Townsend is constantly hunting perimeter shots and does so with great off-the-ball movement. When she finds an open gap, Townsend is able to square her feet and get into her jumpshot notably quicker than the average high school shooting guard. Her sharpshooting skills were seen all throughout the season, including a game against Farragut High Schhol. She stays glued to her defenders with speedy lateral movement and strategic reaches. This crowding, aggressive, but under control playstyle from her generates mistakes from opposing players, which often end up being steals. In a game against Loudon High School this past school season, she had six steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cox on offense is a great transition scorer. In fastbreak scenarios, when she is off the ball, she does a great job at jetting ahead of the defense and finding herself in a scoring lane for a wide-open layup. Witt's athleticism also shows up in regard to her shot blocking. She can deny shots at a high level at the guard position and did so in a game against Cocke County. She can score in the paint effectively and through contact if need be. Ballew also shows off her inside scoring ability at times, with the second-chance scoring chances she gets from the offensive rebounds she secures. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Multiple times this past school season, she had double-doubles. In a game against Hiwassee Dam High School, Ballew scored 13 points and grabbed 20 rebounds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ballew also sees the floor extremely well. She utilizes it well in getting past defenders in fast breaks and hounding opposing guards on the perimeter. Graham also has solid dribbling skills that she can pair at times with her high-end speed, which helps her create scoring lanes to the basket.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Graham showed off her dynamic game all season.
