Wrapping Up The Classic

The Classic once again brought together high-level talent from across the region for an action-packed weekend in Louisville. With college coaches and scouts evaluating throughout the live period, players had an opportunity to make statements, build momentum, and continue elevating their recruiting stock heading into July.    KeAndra is a wing/forward with good length, athleticism and a strong frame. She plays with a high motor, competes hard on the glass, and can get buckets inside. She is also a great rim runner and becomes difficult to stop once she gets a head of steam in transition. I see growth in her game and she looks poised for a big junior season at PRP.     Reagan really caught my eye with the way she handled ball against full-court pressure, keeping her dribble alive while scanning the floor for open teammates. She plays with great composure and confidence in the backcourt. Reagan is also a deadly outside shooter the type where if the first shot doesn't fall, you feel like the next one will. She has that true “shooters keep shooting” mentality and never hesitates to let it fly. She also showed a willingness to attack the rim, displaying a nice floater game in the paint. A talented guard with noticeable passion for the game.     Taleah had a good showing against Ohio Crossover Athletics 2027. She played solid defense, slid her feet well on the perimeter, and competed hard throughout the game. Offensively, Taleah showed the ability to finish in traffic, using the backboard effectively around the rim, while also ripping down rebounds. Her effort helped lead [program_tooltip program_id='713436' first='Lady' last='Magic'] 17U to a 54-42 victory.     Maliyah may be small in stature, but she is a mighty guard who does it on both sides of the floor. She is super quick off the bounce, handles the ball very well, and is able to get past initial defenders with ease. She also shined with her ability to guard the perimeter.     Veronica is always fun to watch because of the two-way impact she brings to the floor. She loves to play up-tempo and is electric in the open floor, often grabbing a rebound and going coast-to-coast with it. She also impacts the game defensively with her ball pressure and ability to guard 94 feet.     Paige was one of the many 2029 prospects that caught my eye at The Classic. She has great positional size along with impressive length. Paige thrives as a downhill attacker, and she knows how to draw enough contact to get to the line and she finishes well with either hand at the rim. She is definitely a name to track moving forward.
