Coming in at #1 and holding onto the top spot in this Update is Iowa State WBB commit, Melina Snoozy of Bishop Heelan Catholic. Snoozy, the 5'11 CG, is a lights out shooter with deep range and impressive knowledge of the game of basketball. She has a good handle when dealing with defensive pressure, she rebounds well for her position + size, and she can move around the floor to a few different spots within a team's system when competing with other prospects who might not be as versatile. Bishop Heelan is going to return this Winter with vengeance on their minds. If Snoozy plays to her full capabilities and the teammates behind her can back that up, then we will see them back to the State Tournament before you know it come 2027. We are still far from that time though so right now I'm sure that Snoozy is locked in on her current AAU campaign moving into the month of July.

The possibilities to where Katie Muller might end up are endless right now. She has attention from several P4 programs across the Country and who could blame them. This is a 6'2 SG, who is lethal from deep off both the catch and off the bounce. She can shoot the ball going either direction and it doesn't matter if she has a ton of pressure coming out off of screening action. If she gets a moment and she gets a clean shot up, it's going to have a chance of going in. That's the type of shooter we are speaking about here and she can also finish at the bucket while attacking if she is overplayed too much by the opponent. Whoever locks in Muller is getting someone who could change the offensive game of a program at the D1 level. I'm not sure who that will be but I'm sure we are going to see soon enough.

Romey Croatt made the change to Mokan Elite EYBL for this AAU season and she has been holding serve while competing at the PG position. Croatt, the future D1 commit, is coming off of a successful Spring with this crew. They happened to just play this last weekend again for the first time since May and they looked rusty as a whole but individually they played well. Croatt is still getting to the bucket at Will and making everyone around her better with her play-making abilities on the basketball. This is a hooper we love because she competes with a chip on her shoulder and that is going to make her a success over the rest of her basketball career. Croatt holds onto the #3 spot in this Update, which is a respectable position to hold moving forward.

The ultimate goal for Ari Phillips is to compete at the PG position for the rest of high school and at the collegiate level one day. This goal is achievable while looking towards what her Johnston roster will hold this Winter. She will be tasked with coming down the floor and running the offense at a high rate this season now that Jenica Lewis is gone to ND. If she can do that, the Dragons will thrive once again. If she doesn't, it gets interesting but that doesn't change the fact that Phillips is shifty with her handle, she knows how this game is played mentally, and she truly does make everyone else around her better with how she competes. As long as she plays within her own ability, she is going to be just fine.

There are few and far that are game-controllers like KeaOnna Worley of CR - Prairie High School. Worley isn't just a controller, she is also very skilled. She can handle while leaving most of her competition in the dust, she has active hands + feet - that always lead to some chaos for the opponent defensively, and she isn't afraid to take the last shot within a big moment. She trusts in her work and knows what makes her one of the best players out of the 2027 Class in the state. She just needs to keep that rolling as she moves into her last high school season before leaving to compete with the UNI Panthers in the near future.
