The 2nd Annual Starcade Summer Shootout at Queen Creek High School has quickly established itself as one of Arizona's top proving grounds for under-the-radar prospects, hidden gems, and rising stars looking to make a name for themselves before the summer live period reaches full swing. While many events spotlight established recruits, Starcade provides an invaluable platform for overlooked players to compete against quality competition, showcase their development, and catch the attention of scouts, media, and college coaches. Throughout the weekend, numerous athletes elevated their stock with breakout performances, displaying the skill, toughness, and competitive edge necessary to emerge as the next wave of prospects on the recruiting radar. These Impact Players seized their opportunity and proved they belong in the conversation among the state's most intriguing up-and-coming talents. Here are the impact players who caught my attention:

Longmire emerged as a guard to keep an eye on. She showed good poise and high basketball IQ despite only being a freshmen. A combo guard who can score from all three levels and with playmaking ability to impact the game. With continued growth and development, Longmire is establishing herself as one of the top prospects in the 2030 class.

Hag made an impact in every game that I watched her. From making defensive plays to attacking the basketball on the offensive end, Hag set the tone for her team enroute to winning the championship in the gold division. Hag is a Swiss army knife who cleans the glass, deflects passes, scores, and distributes. She is definitely one of the top impact players of the entire event more importantly established herself as a prospect to watch this season.

Winters stock has emerged at the Starcade Shootout. She turned heads with her playmaking ability on both ends of the floor and a relentless motor. Winters is tough and can guard multiple positions. Offensively she excels in facilitating or playing off the ball. I expect her to have a huge summer and increase her stock going into her junior campaign. Another big time prospect out of a small school transitioning to the AIA.

Valenzuela is a hidden gem find as she impressed me with her handles, playmaking ability on both ends of the floor, and her feistiness on the defensive end. Valenzuela's energy looks to disrupt opponents offensive rhythm. On the offensive side, she has a nice pull up midrange and I expect her stock to rise into the Winter. Another impact player with tremendous upside.

Marsh is a high IQ combo guard with great upside. She has a tight handle and makes great decisions in facilitating the offense. I really like her ability to defend all 94 feet and make plays. I expect Marsh to be a big part of Horizon Honors' success into the regular season. Marsh impacts the game and does the little things to help her team compete in games.
