All City Series: Williamson County Private Schools

For many years, this county has been a hotbed for football talent. As of late, the women's basketball scene is on the uptick.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The county boasts multiple public schools and private schools. Though these teams schools rarely compete, public v. Private, respectively, each has in the past produced some pretty good talent that goes on to play at the next level. Over the past years Ella Ryan( Brentwood/ Arizona State), Cecilie Brandimore (Franklin/Missouri), and Trinity Fields (Brentwood Academy/ UNC Asheville), just to name a few, have competed throughout this county. There have been plenty more, but also have many more waiting on the horizon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What I love about this county is that the rivalries are fierce. These schools don't like each other at all. It's always a packed gym and teams fight tooth and nail against each other. It's the type of rivalry where you remember it for years, disliking the other squad way beyond your playing years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The point of this all is that there is some talent brewing in this county and many are ready to take on the recruiting scene with flair. This is a two part segment with one being private and one being public. This kid is always locked and loaded, ready to compete no matter what. She's a heady ballplayer who utilizes her speed to get to a favorable spot. A 3-level scoring threat, she's good at finding the bottom of the net consistently. Nice set of handles. Plays with a motor; she's a disruptor that's going to cause havoc. She is tough on the defensive end as well. Picking up full court and making her opponent work. Her game has been on an upswing, and each and every year she gets better and better. A prospect both on the hardwood and the diamond. When she is in the game, she is going to put the ball in the bucket. She can work along the perimeter, but she is strongest inside. She's a tough defender, one who owns the boards. This kid gives her team an edge with her style and play. Look for her to help this club go deep into tournament contention. Look for her to put up solid numbers and be a factor in her club's success. Defensively, she is solid, physical with her opponent, enticing them into tough shots, and contributing on the boards. Look for her to continue to grow and be a force for this Lady Eagles club. She brings her lunch pail and hard hat to the party as she is a tremendous worker.
