Class of 2027: Small Forwards Outside The Top 100 To Know

There are so many extremely skilled players in the class of 2027, even outside the top 100 ranked players in the 2027 Prep Girls Hoops Rankings. Here are five small forwards in the class, either unranked or outside the top 100, that could have big senior seasons and improve their ranking.    [player_tooltip player_id='1241809' first='Makenzie' last='Arnold'] can play out on the perimeter and in the interior on offense.   Arnold has a physical and crafty interior scoring game. She can lower her shoulder and go get a bucket with her strength or take more of a finesse approach. Arnold does this approach a lot in post-ups. She has a quick spin move that catches defenders off guard and gets her open looks.   Arnold can also knock down 3-pointers effectively. In a game last season against Fayetteville High School, she made three 3-pointers. She also, anytime she steps on the court, can provide high-level rebounding.     [player_tooltip player_id='1841682' first='Emma' last='Bragg'] could have a big senior season.   Bragg at the SF position can create her own shot. She is able to play at her own pace offensively and create space by using long strides to generate room between her defender and the bucket.   She is a dynamic scorer who can score at all 3-levels. Bragg also has a good feel for the game. She makes timely cuts that often get her open for a good look at an interior scoring opportunity.     [player_tooltip player_id='1241387' first='Akiyra' last='Mattison'] is an extremely high-energy player.   Mattison is one of the stronger small forwards in her class. Combining that with the energy she plays with makes her an unbelievable rebounder. She sets herself up in ideal rebounding positions constantly. Mattsion many times last season earned second-chance points from grabbing offensive rebounds, sometimes coming from following her own shot.   Mattison has a lot of other layers in her offensive game. She can snap a crossover and pull up into a midrange jumper or hit a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer.     [player_tooltip player_id='1242097' first='Tatum' last='Collier'] is also another SF who can create on the dribble.   Collier has good downhill speed on the dribble. She can get to the paint on a moment's notice for a layup, but she also pairs that speed with the ability to stop on a dime. Collier, while driving into the paint, can pull up for a mid-range jumper, a move she did several times in her junior season. Collier also has a lethal perimeter shooting game. She can dribble into threes and knock them down without hesitation. She had multiple games last school season with two or more made 3-pointers.   Collier can also be a good shot blocker. In a game last season against Meigs County High School, she had four blocks.     [player_tooltip player_id='822277' first='Lexi' last='Tipton'] has high-level athleticism at the SF position.   Defensively, Titpon is good at rotating. She can deny many shots with her understanding of where to be paired with her athletic ability. Tipton is also an extremely good rebounder who has the capability of getting double-digit boards in games.   Tipton on offense can score in the interior, but can spread out the floor with her perimeter shooting.
