Colorado Live Showcase Standouts

Highlights included a thrilling Northfield versus Arapahoe clash that hinted at a possible Final 4 showdown next season. The soon-to-be senior point guard remains a disruptive point-of-attack defender who hounds opposing ball handlers and forces turnovers with her physicality. Bethel is super quick and enjoys locking down anyone she guards. On offense, her court vision took a leap this weekend. Bethel made the correct reads when she penetrated into the paint and made outstanding kickout passes to open shooters. She can get the basket with ease and has a variety of finishes in her bag. Halton can also step out and hit from deep, putting defenders on their heels. Throughout the event, Halton showcased her tenacity on defense, forcing turnovers and fast-break opportunities for herself and her teammates. She had an outstanding weekend, making several key baskets and grabbing huge rebounds. She runs the floor well in transition and can finish through contact. Dennis had several impactful defensive plays against Araphaoe and put the game away with a huge three in the fourth quarter. She did a great job of handling the point and orchestrating Arapahoe's offensive sets. Hollingshead's ability to handle ball pressure and protect the ball will be an important factor in Arapahoe's success. She has shown she can knock down a few mid-range jumpers when left open. Hollingshead's energy on defense is her greatest asset, as she plays with high motor and consistently harasses opposing ball handlers. Her hands are active, creating deflections and steals. Jamison finishes well at the rim and creates mismatches with her speed and quickness on offense. Her ability to knock down mid-range shots will be crucial to Overland this winter, as Jamison should get plenty of those opportunities in transition.
