Dennis has impressed with her hustle and all-around play this summer. She had an outstanding weekend, making several key baskets and grabbing huge rebounds. She runs the floor well in transition and can finish through contact. Dennis had several impactful defensive plays against Araphaoe and put the game away with a huge three in the fourth quarter. She continues to improve her outside game, and that bodes well for Northfield this winter.

Delaney has improved defensively learning how to use her length and size to make life difficult for opposing players. She also found a much better rhythm offensively consistently getting to the right spots and knocking down perimeter shots. I’m interested to see if that offensive confidence carries over into June because it could make her an even bigger two-way threat.

Dennis was a force for Northfield, lighting up the scoreboard with two quick threes as both teams traded blows early. She had a nice spin move in the paint that resulted in two free-throws. Dennis got into her bag, adding a nice reverse layup against Avramovic in the third. Her craftiness around the rim was matched by her tenacity on defense. Dennis was battling for rebounds against taller opponents and contesting shots without fouling. A great effort from the junior standout.

Delaney continues to be a steady and reliable presence for her team. She converted on second chance opportunities, knocked down shots from the perimeter and broking down defenders from the top of the key. Her all-around offensive skill set made her tough to guard throughout the game.

This marks her first season of league play with Northfield and she’s made an immediate impact. She’s a handful to deal with because of her ability to crash the glass, defend multiple positions and score in bunches without needing plays called for her. Her versatility make her a presence on the floor.

Dennis was the driving force for Northfield in their victory over the previously unbeaten Standley Lake. She recorded a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Dennis was a monster on the offensive glass, providing the Nighthawks with multiple second-chance opportunities. Defensively, she registered two steals and a huge block in the third quarter. Dennis made key plays to stifle any comeback attempts by Standley Lake in the fourth quarter.

In the high school setting Delaney is the type of player who can guard positions one through five. She’s long, athletic and moves like a guard despite her size. On top of that, she rebounds at a high level, finishes around the rim, and knocks down open shots.

Delaney comes into the season as a player who can do a little bit of everything for Northfield. She can score on the perimeter get what she wants in the paint, and rebound at a high level. On top of that, her ability to defend any position on the floor makes her one of the most valuable and versatile pieces on the roster.
