With events such as the Mill City Invitational, Summer Kickoff Classic, and Summer Xplosion having come and gone, we thought it best to highlight some of the fresh faces that have gotten our attention throughout the month of June. All of these prospects have shown flashes of greatness in recent weeks, whether they demonstrated grit and toughness in a big game, have shown significant improvement over time, or put on a major offensive performance. Here are five recent additions to the radar.

Since we last saw her at the PGH Freshman Showcase back in September, Moore has gotten noticeably stronger and more skilled. In recent weeks the 6'0 forward out of Maple Grove has impressed us with her efforts on both ends of the floor. On offense, Hannah's ability to create space for herself in the post, play off two feet, and finish on either side of the rim make her a scoring threat for [program_tooltip program_id='712697' first='MN' last='Crossfire']. On the other end of the floor, Moore's length pays dividends. With long arms and solid footwork, Hannah is able to block or alter her opponents shots in the paint on a regular basis, all without getting herself into foul trouble. Definitely a player to watch going forward.

Following a strong freshman season at St. Francis, Waterworth has continued to impress with [program_tooltip program_id='712697' first='MN' last='Crossfire'] this spring. The 5'8 guard is quick, light on her feet and impacts the game in a variety of ways. At the Mill City Invitational she showed off her capabilities as a playmaker, reading the defense and making sharp, quick passes to open teammates. When an opening presented itself Chloe didn't hesitate to shoot from distance or attack the lane, getting downhill with a burst of speed and a tight handle on the ball. On defense, her aggression and tenacity consistently leads to forced turnovers and points in transition for her team.

Schoon is the glue for the [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] 2031 Blue squad. Solidly built and strong for her age, the Chaska 7th grader is highly skilled in nearly every aspect of the game. On offense Evelyn has a quick first step and maintains her balance on the attack, allowing her to finish with ease at the rim. She can consistently knock down shots from three, and plays the game with a tremendous amount of poise and confidence. On defense, the Fury wing understands how to play in help-side, and crashes the glass with a high degree of effort. Schoon has had multiple stellar offensive performances in June, with 27 points at Mill City and another 40 at the Summer Kickoff.

Ronning is a dynamic scoring threat who can impact the game from all areas of the floor. Offensively, she succeeds at attacking the basket with a smooth, quick dribble-drive move that allows her to finish effectively on either side of the lane. When defenders give her space, the 5'2 guard is confident in stepping out and knocking down shots from beyond the arc. Her strong court awareness and quick decision-making make her an effective passer who consistently creates opportunities for teammates. Madison plays with confidence, energy, and determination, constantly pushing herself to elevate her team's offensive production and build momentum in their favor.

Measuring at least 6-feet tall with a tremendously strong frame, Hughes stood out to us the moment we walked in the gym. The [program_tooltip program_id='767539' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] post player brings an imposing presence to the paint and uses her physicality to her advantage. Abigail sets monstrous ball screens for her teammates, fights hard on the boards, and easily seals her opponents on the low block. At the Mill City Invitational, the St. Cloud Cathedral 8th grader showcased steady hands, catching passes in transition for easy buckets. Her overall skillset is still raw, but with some improvements to her back-to-the-basket footwork and finishing, Hughes could make some serious noise in the class of 2030 when all is said and done.
