The future of Louisiana girls basketball stepped into the spotlight at the JSE Team Camp in West Monroe, and the underclassmen made it clear that their time is coming fast.

Throughout the event, young prospects competed with confidence, toughness and a level of poise that went far beyond their age. These players did not enter the gym simply looking for experience—they came ready to make statements, challenge older competition and show scouts exactly why their names deserve to be remembered.

The energy was immediate. Guards pushed the tempo, attacked gaps and created opportunities for teammates. Shooters stretched defenses with confidence from beyond the arc, while aggressive playmakers consistently found ways to get downhill and pressure the rim. In the frontcourt, young posts battled for position, protected the basket and controlled the glass with physicality.

What separated this group was its fearlessness.

The underclassmen did not back down from difficult matchups or allow the moment to overwhelm them. They played with confidence, embraced pressure and competed on both ends of the floor. Many showed advanced court awareness, communicating with teammates, making quick reads and understanding how to impact the game without needing every possession to run through them.

Several young floor generals controlled the action with maturity. They changed pace, handled defensive pressure and consistently placed teammates in scoring positions. Others made their mark with defensive intensity, applying ball pressure, jumping passing lanes and turning stops into transition opportunities.

There was also no shortage of scoring talent.

These prospects displayed deep shooting range, polished midrange games and the ability to finish around the basket. When defenders closed out aggressively, the young guards attacked off the bounce. When the paint became crowded, they remained patient and found open teammates. Their versatility made them difficult to contain and showed how quickly their games are developing.

The frontcourt prospects created just as much excitement. They rebounded through traffic, challenged shots and provided strong interior targets. Their activity around the rim generated extra possessions and gave their teams dependable production on both ends.

The biggest takeaway from JSE was not simply the talent—it was the mindset.

These underclassmen played with high motors, competitive toughness and a desire to win. They celebrated teammates, responded to adversity and continued making plays even when shots were not falling. That willingness to defend, communicate and handle the smaller details separated the true prospects from players who were only chasing highlights.

The JSE Team Camp provided a valuable stage, and Louisiana's young talent took full advantage of it. The names may still be unfamiliar to some, but that will not remain the case for long.

The buzz is building, the confidence is growing and the next generation has officially put everyone on notice. Louisiana's underclassmen are not waiting for the future—their rise has already started.

The future is bright, the next wave is coming fast, and Louisiana's rising talent delivered in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1867011' first='Aubree' last='Norl'] made a strong impression at the JSE Team Camp, showing that her impact goes far beyond the scoring column. The West Monroe guard played with toughness, energy and an aggressive mindset that consistently affected the game on both ends of the floor.

Offensively, Norl brought confidence and pressure. She handled the ball well, attacked gaps and showed the ability to get downhill when the defense opened up. Her quickness and aggressive approach made her difficult to contain, while her developing skill set allowed her to contribute as both a scorer and playmaker.

What truly separated Norl, however, was her defense.

She stayed active throughout possessions, applied pressure, jumped passing lanes and made the hustle plays that often change the momentum of a game. Norl collected steals, deflections and rebounds while doing the type of work that does not always appear in the box score. Her defensive effort helped create transition opportunities and gave West Monroe extra possessions.

Norl played bigger than her size because of her motor, competitiveness and willingness to battle. She remained engaged, fought for loose balls and consistently found ways to help her team win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1867011' first='Aubree' last='Norl'] brought intensity, toughness and nonstop activity to the JSE Team Camp. Her defense set her apart, her aggression created problems and her all-around effort made her one of the 2029 guards worth keeping a close eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='881427' first='Kaylee' last='Edmonson'] | 5'7” PF/PG | Many High School | Class of 2030

[player_tooltip player_id='881427' first='Kaylee' last='Edmonson'] put together a major performance at the JSE Team Camp, once again showing why she is regarded as one of Louisiana's premier young prospects in the 2030 class. The 5'7” playmaker brought versatility, confidence and toughness to the floor, making an impact in nearly every phase of the game.

Edmonson was aggressive offensively and consistently found ways to create scoring opportunities. She knocked down perimeter shots, attacked the midrange and used her strength to finish around the basket. Her ability to handle the ball and create off the dribble makes her a difficult matchup because she can play like a guard while using the size and physicality of a forward.

In a close win over Opelousas, Edmonson stepped up with a strong scoring performance and delivered when her team needed her most. She played with confidence, stayed composed in pressure moments and showed that she is comfortable taking responsibility in big situations.

Her defensive effort was just as important. Edmonson competed with a high motor, pressured ball handlers and looked to create turnovers. Her size, athleticism and physical approach allow her to defend multiple positions and make plays both inside and on the perimeter.

What continues to separate Edmonson is her versatility. She can bring the ball up the floor, create for teammates, score from multiple levels, rebound and defend with intensity. She plays with a fearless mentality and does not shy away from competition, regardless of the opponent's age or size.

[player_tooltip player_id='881427' first='Kaylee' last='Edmonson'] did not look like a player waiting for the future—she looked ready right now. Her complete performance at JSE reinforced her status as one of the most exciting and dangerous prospects in Louisiana's 2030 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1867863' first='Jade' last='Trail'] brought speed, confidence and fearless energy to the JSE Team Camp, showing that size does not determine impact. The 4'10” guard played with aggression on both ends of the floor and made her presence felt with her quickness, shooting ability and competitive mindset.

Offensively, Trail showed no hesitation from beyond the arc. She stepped into perimeter shots with confidence and gave defenders a reason to stay attached every time she touched the ball. Her ability to stretch the floor opened driving lanes and made her a constant threat in the half court.

Trail also attacked with toughness. She was not afraid to challenge bigger defenders, absorb contact or play through physical pressure. Her quick first step allowed her to get into gaps, while her pace made it difficult for defenders to stay in front of her.

Defensively, Trail competed with intensity. She applied pressure to opposing guards, stayed active with her hands and played with a high motor from possession to possession. Her willingness to defend aggressively and embrace contact showed a level of toughness that stood out for such a young prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1867863' first='Jade' last='Trail'] played fast, fearless and confident at JSE. She shot the ball well, competed hard defensively and proved that her quickness, toughness and mentality make her a 2030 guard worth tracking closely.

[player_tooltip player_id='1312956' first='Corley' last='Moore'] made a major statement at the JSE Team Camp, using her size, skill and composure to take control when the game mattered most. The 6'2” forward gave Alexandria a dependable interior presence and showed why she is one of the more intriguing frontcourt prospects in Louisiana's 2029 class.

Moore displayed impressive footwork around the basket, creating angles and finishing with a soft touch. She did not rely on size alone. Her patience, balance and ability to make controlled moves in traffic allowed her to score efficiently against physical defense.

When the pressure increased late in the game, Moore delivered. She came through with crucial baskets down the stretch, helping push Alexandria toward the win. Her ability to remain composed and produce in key moments showed maturity beyond her class.

Moore also made an impact with her presence inside. She established position, provided a reliable target in the paint and forced defenders to account for her on every possession. Her combination of length, touch and developing post skill makes her a difficult matchup near the rim.

Quinn made her biggest impact on the glass. She consistently battled for position, attacked rebounds with two hands and helped her team control possessions. Her ability to collect boards on both ends created second-chance opportunities offensively while also limiting opponents to one shot defensively.

She was also effective around the basket, finishing plays at the rim and making the most of her opportunities inside. Quinn played with purpose, stayed active and gave Hicks a reliable scoring option when the game tightened up.
