Last week, before the scholastic live period, I attended a three-day camp, put on by Travis Diener, that included around 70 talented incoming freshmen from Wisconsin. I spent most of the three days learning about some of the 2030s before they get to high school in the fall, and taking notes on most of the players there. I didn't end up getting notes on every player, but we will look at some of the players who stood out from the three-day event in Mequon and what they bring to the floor.

Ebben is a kid with a solid frame and has the strength to play through physicality at a young age. She has a strong lower half and excels at finishing around the rim and playing off two feet. I thought she took direction well and was a notable performer throughout camp. I loved her skillset and will be eager to see her play this winter with her Fox Valley Lutheran group.

From watching Diener for the first time for an extended period, I liked her intangibles. She was a vocal kid who brought a lot of energy to her group was at the front of the line in the few drills I saw her group at. She plays at her own pace and does a solid job of applying drill work to games, while also thriving within what she does best. Regardless of what she's asked to do at the high school level when she earns playing time at Homestead, I'm sure she'll thrive in whatever role she earns.

If you're from the southeast corner of Wisconsin, you've heard the Johnson name a lot over the past half-decade. Raegan is a little smaller than her sisters, but she brings an edge that neither of them does. You can feel how competitive she is when you watch her play. She doesn't just want to win games; she wants to win reps. She plays stronger than she looks and is willing to go the extra mile to win games. I love how she plays.

No matter what, Wham will stand out in every gym she steps in because she will be one of the more sizeable players in her class around the state. I like her attitude. No matter where I've seen her, whether it's with her [program_tooltip program_id='713344' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'] team, after a past Whitefish Bay varsity game, or at camp, she's a respectful kid who works hard and wants to learn. She had some eye-catching moments working around the basket at camp, and has a chance to be a highly productive post. It may take a while, but Wham will buy into the process.
