Last week, before the scholastic live period, I attended a three-day camp, put on by Travis Diener, that included around 70 talented incoming freshmen from Wisconsin. I spent most of the three days learning about some of the 2030s before they get to high school in the fall, and taking notes on most of the players there. I didn't end up getting notes on every player, but we will look at some of the players who stood out from the three-day event in Mequon and what they bring to the floor.

Schwarz passes the eye test. The Viroqua is a 5-11 forward with a solid frame and looks comfortable working around the basket. Whenever I saw her playing in the post, rebounding, or defending in the paint, she was productive. Schwarz played physically through camp and utilized her size advantage well. I'll be curious to see if she can continue to be physical, power through kids a few years older than her, and help her Viroqua team take a step forward this coming winter.

Lile is the younger sister of Kyrin Lile, who is now at Green Bay, and Nicklyn has a chance to be even better. I was very impressed by her skill set when I saw her in May playing up with her [program_tooltip program_id='713045' first='Wisconsin' last='Lakers'] group, and she looked impressive at camp. She's a skilled wing who can handle the ball, get to her spots, score from all three levels, and utilize her footwork to score around the basket. She has plenty of tools to work with and develop over the next four years and beyond.

The future Tomah wing has solid size for the position and could contribute early in her high school career. Yarco is a player who can get downhill and finish around the basket and has the comfort to finish with either hand around the rim at an early age. Yarco also has solid footwork and can work her way through traffic. Her length should also help her make plays defensively.

I was very impressed by Schliewe. I thought she played well when I saw her in May, and was equally as solid at Camp. Schliewe has all the physical tools to thrive in high school basketball. She's strong and quick, moves her feet defensively, can crash the glass, box out, and rebound. Physically, playing against older kids won't overwhelm her, and she has the skill to be a dynamic guard/wing who can create for herself and others at a high level. I'm excited to see what she can do up at Sheboygan Falls.
