Use code ZITER50 for half off your first billing period.

Several programs made their way to Farmington on Saturday for a day of competition, and one thing became clear early on—there is plenty of young talent coming through the pipeline. A number of younger players stood out, showing skill sets, confidence, and basketball IQ that far exceeded their age.

Whether it was handling pressure, making advanced reads, or competing against older players without backing down, these athletes showed flashes of what could be ahead. Keep an eye on these names in the coming years, because if their development continues on its current path, they're going to make a significant impact on Utah basketball as they grow into larger roles.

A young player with a lot of upside, she already shows a strong understanding of the game. She reads defenses well, makes efficient passes, and processes the floor quickly, often making the right play without forcing the action.

The next step in her development will be confidence as a scorer. As she becomes more comfortable looking for her own shot and starts hunting opportunities offensively, she'll give defenses something else to worry about. With her court vision and feel for the game already in place, adding that scoring mindset could make her a very complete player.

Dreyah was the standout player on the floor for her team in the game we caught. While it's hard to know exactly where her ceiling ultimately lands, the tools are certainly there. One of the tallest players on the floor, she handles the basketball with the confidence and fluidity of a guard.

Her impact was felt everywhere—pulling down rebounds, protecting the rim with blocks, and then turning around and finishing possessions with buckets on the other end.

Whether her future is in the paint, on the wing, or somewhere in between, one thing is clear: Dreyah is going to be an impactful player for any program she suits up for.

Going up against players multiple years older than her, Stella never backed down from the challenge. She competed with confidence and toughness, showing that the moment was never too big for her. One of the highlights was a reverse layup through pressure that resulted in points, a play that showcased both her body control and composure around the rim.

Defensively, her pressure on the ball stood out, and offensively, she showed an understanding of how to establish position and post up on the block. For a player competing against older and more experienced competition, Stella looked comfortable and capable. Based on what we saw, she's a player who will be firmly on our radar as we continue to follow the upcoming classes in Utah basketball.

Irie played up a year this weekend and never looked out of place. In fact, her shooting was one of the reasons her team remained in the game down the stretch, knocking down big shots in several moments when possessions mattered most.

What stands out is her offensive skill set and confidence at such a young age. As her quickness and lateral agility continue to develop, she'll become an even more complete player and a difficult matchup for opponents to contain.

The exciting part is that she's still young and gaining valuable experience competing alongside and against older players. That kind of exposure tends to accelerate development, so expect her game to continue evolving as she gains more reps and confidence at this level.

Speed is the first word that comes to mind when watching Maleah with the basketball. Whether she's bringing the ball up the floor, turning the corner on a defender, or delivering a quick pass to an open teammate, she plays with pace while staying completely under control.

What makes her especially effective is that she never seems rushed. She plays with confidence and composure, doesn't get rattled in big moments, and consistently makes the right read. Her ability to distribute the ball and involve her teammates elevates the entire offense, making everyone around her better.

Maleah is the type of floor general who can change the tempo of a game, and her combination of speed, decision-making, and unselfishness makes her a difficult player for defenses to contain.
