Prospects to See at Cheesehead Challenge

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cheesehead Challenge is back again in 2026, and notable programs from Southeast Wisconsin are descending on OAW in New Berlin to play a handful of games this coming weekend. Before some of the older age divisions tip off tomorrow morning, we will look at some players who may be worth watching for college coaches planning on attending the event. Meinen is a confident perimeter shooter who has hit shots in the State Tournament and has never been afraid of the moment. She is an excellent set shooter who can get her shot up quickly in catch-and-shoot situations. Morgan has the gravity to keep defenders attached to her, and it's something opposing coaches tell their kids when they play Grafton, which fundamentally shifts how a team defends as a unit. Wardlow may not be known for her perimeter shooting, but she has the speed to get downhill and force defenses to collapse. She'll excel with multiple perimeter threats around her because she is a headache for defenders to keep in front of them when she has space to operate. The DSHA wing/forward was impressive on the defensive end of the floor and used her length to be an impactful defender around the basket, but moved her feet well enough to think she can switch at the college level and defend some guards for a few dribbles.
