Section 7, one of the nation's premier scholastic events, took place on June 19th and 20th at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. The future of Arizona girls' basketball was on full display, as several incoming freshmen made strong statements against quality competition. These young prospects not only held their own but showed signs of becoming key contributors for their respective high school programs in the near future.

Here I look at some of the 2030 Arizona that I personally saw,

Mitchell put together one of the more impressive weekends among the incoming freshman class. The Mountain Pointe guard played a major role in helping lead the Pride to the championship game of their bracket, consistently delivering in key moments. Mitchell used her strong frame effectively to attack defenders, absorb contact, and get to the free-throw line. Her weekend was highlighted by a 30+ point game.

Rocha showcased a well-rounded game and proved she is ready to compete at the next level. The Basha freshman impacted games on both ends of the floor with her toughness, defensive activity, and ability to compete. She applied pressure defensively while also displaying confidence in her perimeter shot, knocking down open looks when defenses left her open. A'Marie's versatility should make her a player to watch moving forward.

Alaysia looked comfortable in the spotlight and played with the confidence of someone who has been in big moments before. The incoming point guard consistently pressured opposing defenses with her quickness and ball-handling ability. She was able to turn the corner off the dribble, get into the paint, and finish plays with touch, including several well-executed floaters. Peace's ability to control tempo makes her one of the more intriguing young guards in the state.

Lewis brought energy, athleticism, and toughness every time she stepped onto the floor. The versatile wing made her presence felt by defending multiple positions, attacking the glass, and competing on every possession. She played with a physical edge that stood out throughout the weekend, showing why she has the potential to carve out a role in the Bears' rotation this season. Her motor and willingness to do the little things are just a couple of reasons why I like her upside.

Williams continued to show why her long-term upside is so intriguing. The versatile forward contributed on both ends of the floor, using her size and instincts to impact the game offensively and defensively. She competed well around the basket and defended her position effectively. Reese displayed a willingness to learn throughout the event, as evidenced by my speaking to her. Williams is the type of player who will improve every time she takes the floor, and her ceiling remains extremely high as she gains experience.

Rozay provided steady production and versatility in the backcourt throughout the weekend. The combo guard demonstrated her ability to score from the perimeter and create offense off the dribble. Whether it was making the extra pass, attacking closeouts, or knocking down shots, Perales consistently made positive plays for her team. Her ability to impact the game in multiple ways gives Campo another promising young piece moving forward.
