Has a skilled dribble and showed some top-notch footwork. Was consistently shaking her defender. Knows how to create space and scores very well. Changes pace and direction at a high level. One of the top guards regardless of class at the event. High level play maker.

Perales is no stranger to competition, as you can usually find her competing whenever there is an opportunity to play. She showed her all-around skill set again at this event. She can impact the game in multiple ways and continues to show why she ranks among the state’s better freshmen. Expect her to be an important contributor for an already talented Campo Verde squad.

Rozay continues to grow into an offensive threat. Her offensive creativity continues to grow. She is learning how to counter defensive adjustments. She is developing offensive unpredictability, which is a nightmare for defenders. Her offensive maturity is expanding. What stands out about Rozay’s game is how she creates scoring angles and passing lanes with her pivots. She maintains excellent balance throughout her pivots. Rozay is able to create separation without losing her momentum. She knows how to use the spin in transition effectively. Off the ball, Rozay forces defenders to remain engaged throughout the offensive possession. She does not stand stationary without the ball. She has a good understanding of spacing.

Rozay has already worked her way into a deep and experienced Campo Verde rotation with her steady guard play and overall feel for the game. She plays under control, makes good decisions, and looks comfortable competing with older players.

Perales continues to impress every time out. She always seems to have her eyes up looking for teammates, but she’s also aggressive enough to score when the opportunity presents itself. That’s a combination that’s hard to teach at her age.

Rozay continues to improve. She plays on a young team and is continuing to learn what it takes to learn the responsibilities of running an offense. She appears to be growing more comfortable handling defensive pressure. She shows flashes of good court vision and is becoming more vocal. She understands foundational offensive basketball principles. She has good reaction time when making decisions. She will only continue to build confidence with more playing time. She shows above-average coordination as a young player. She runs the floor well. Her ball-handling skills are amazing. She keeps the dribble while surveying the floor. Rozay is at the point in her young career where she is learning how to develop good timing and pace. She has the instincts to be the primary ball handler as she gets more reps.

Rozay provided steady production and versatility in the backcourt throughout the weekend. The combo guard demonstrated her ability to score from the perimeter and create offense off the dribble. Whether it was making the extra pass, attacking closeouts, or knocking down shots, Perales consistently made positive plays for her team. Her ability to impact the game in multiple ways gives Campo another promising young piece moving forward.

Perales didn’t look like an eighth grader. She played aggressively and confidently, competing without hesitation against older players. She really shined as a playmaker, setting up her teammates for good looks at the basket.
