Prep Girls Hoops latest offering was a one day run in Baltimore called "The Summit". A number of prospects turned in some notable performances on this cloudy day at the Park School.

Portland went off in the game against Power Move and showed off her complete bag. She pulled out the crossovers, hesitation step backs, and quick straight line drives before the defense could get set. When they took away her drives she made multiple three pointers, making them pay. She's a quick lefty with a lot of wiggle in her game and she uses it to get wherever she wants to go.

Ria is a strong combo guard with good balance and upper body strength. She finished in the paint off two feet, which I love in young prospects. She broke open their last game with a crazy sequence of four straight possessions where she made three-pointers. That was one of the highlights of the day.

Dream had a strong day as a playmaker and facilitator. I love how she looked to keep her team organized and got them into their offense. Her passes were accurate and intentional. When necessary, she took over the game when it was time to get buckets. She drove and finished over bigger players and knocked down some three-pointers. Great overall showing.

Aubree has the most advanced skill set for a prospect that I have seen in the last 25 years. On Saturday she showed why she is able to compete with high school players and more than hold her own. She made difficult shots from all over the court and made it look easy. Her ball handling and passing skills are elite and her IQ matches. She is must see TV.

Maya showed up big in a lot of ways on Saturday. She does a bunch of things that do not show up on the stat sheet. Her defense is elite because she can stifle guards on the perimeter and battle in the post on the same possession. She rebounded the ball and came up with some timely deflections to help her team close out a win over Team Thrill. She's an unsung hero for sure and every team needs a player like her.
