Top Prospects Shine at the 94/50 3rd Annual Summer WBB Camp

The 94/50 3rd Annual “Can You Guard?” Summer Girls Basketball Camp brought together talented players, competitive teams, college coaches and basketball evaluators for a full day of high-level competition. From the opening matchup to the final game, the gym was filled with energy as athletes competed to prove they belonged among the event's top prospects.   The camp featured teams from across the region, including Union Parish, Many, Minden, Winnfield, Magnolia, Ruston, West Monroe, Jonesboro-Hodge and other respected programs. The schedule provided players with multiple opportunities to showcase their skills against strong competition and different styles of play.   Several prospects separated themselves with their confidence, athleticism and overall feel for the game. Guards attacked the paint, created scoring opportunities and pushed the pace in transition. Wings displayed versatility by scoring from multiple levels, rebounding and defending several positions. Post players made their presence felt through physical finishes, rim protection and hard work on the glass.   What stood out most was the competitive mindset shown throughout the event. Players communicated, battled through contact and continued making winning plays on both ends of the floor. The athletes who made the strongest impressions were not only productive scorers—they also defended, shared the basketball, competed for rebounds and showed leadership when the games became intense.   The camp also gave players a valuable platform to gain exposure in front of college coaches and basketball evaluators. Coach Lathan of Prep Girls Hoops attended the event to evaluate prospects, identify emerging talent and provide additional exposure for players who made an impact.   Events such as the 94/50 Summer Girls Basketball Camp are important because they create opportunities for athletes to compete, develop and be seen. Many players increased their stock with strong performances, while several younger prospects showed that their names will need to be followed closely moving forward. Boatner was shifty off the bounce, attacked gaps, and displayed the court vision needed to get her teammates involved. She also competed defensively, communicated at a high level, and brought energy on both ends of the floor.   Currently ranked No. 21 in Louisiana and No. 7 at her position, Boatner continues to build momentum as a rising prospect. Her performance at the 94/50 Camp showed that her name belongs firmly on the radar moving forward. The 5'6” combo guard played with confidence, attacked off the bounce, and used her length and athleticism to impact both ends of the floor.   Hawkins created plays in space, handled multiple backcourt responsibilities, and showed the ability to score while still keeping her teammates involved. Defensively, she competed with energy, pressured the ball, and used her length to disrupt passing lanes.   Her versatility, confidence, and upside were on full display throughout the event. Hawkins continues to trend upward and is a prospect coaches should keep firmly on their radar. The 5'7” lead guard brought nonstop energy, pushed the pace, attacked the rim, and knocked down pull-up jumpers with confidence. Her ability to create off the dribble and finish through contact made her a tough cover throughout the event.   Wilson was just as impactful defensively, applying pressure, jumping passing lanes, and making hustle plays that changed momentum. Her motor, toughness, and fearless approach stood out in a major way. The 5'7” Class of 2030 prospect showed the ability to play both backcourt positions, handle the ball under pressure, and create opportunities in the open floor.   Moore played with poise beyond her years, attacked gaps, and used her size well against opposing guards. She also competed defensively, stayed active away from the ball, and brought consistent energy throughout the event. Her Prep Girls Hoops profile lists her with West Monroe and WBBP, while additional coverage has recognized her with an All-Star MVP honor.   Long, confident, and loaded with potential—[player_tooltip player_id='1820398' first='Londyn' last='Moore'] made it clear at 94/50 that she is a young name Louisiana basketball fans need to remember.     [player_tooltip player_id='1813624' first='Parys' last='Gillins'] was one of the biggest stock risers at the 94/50 Camp. The 5'10” forward brought size, athleticism, and impressive versatility, creating offense from the mid-range while attacking the rim with power and finishing ability.   Gillins ran the floor hard, filled transition lanes with purpose, and showed excellent awareness around the basket. Defensively, her length, timing, and shot-blocking instincts made her a serious problem in the paint. She already made an impact as a freshman for Minden, earning All-District recognition and producing multiple double-figure scoring performances during the season.   Long, athletic, and loaded with upside—[player_tooltip player_id='1813624' first='Parys' last='Gillins'] looked like a high-level 2029 prospect whose name needs to be followed closely.
