It's always important to finish things off on a good note moving but into the high school season following AAU. If you can finish things out in a strong and convincing way, it can catapult you into a new type of prospect for that upcoming high school season. Here we discuss a number of players that ended things off in a great place with their AAU season leading into the Fall.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

McChesney has always been a force at the Varsity level during school ball but this AAU season she did a great job of representing for her Western Iowa Express program. McChesney was one of this group's "big three" per se, and she showed up each weekend as someone that could make plays when things were coming down to the wire as a CG. Offensively, she was comfortable attacking from all offensive levels, even dishing out an assist or two whenever the defense would begin to overplay her on the drive. Defensively, she is one of the better defenders that we have seen at the 17U level this Spring/Summer season. I expect MM to return to Glenwood this Winter and to average meaningful numbers like in year's past. She has averaged right around 20 PPG, 8 RGP, 2 APG, and 4 SPG throughout her career thus far and I don't expect that too slow down for her last go around as a Senior in a few months.

Miss Double-Double finished things off this last weekend on a high note by putting together noteworthy performances the last few days in Chicago, including a few Double-Doubles. Peterson was scoring in bunches, rebounding like a maniac on both offense and defense, and defending the middle with her lengthy reach + quick reaction times on a consistent basis, which stood out to everyone in attendance. It's going to be really interesting to see how Peterson plays off of this AAU campaign. She has had one of the biggest stock-rising seasons for a prospect from Iowa as a whole. Now it's all about building off of that going into her Sophomore season.

Jayana Quinn is a name to know. Mark it down now. Quinn compete out of the 2030 Class and she will be a Freshman this Winter on the Iowa Varsity WBB scene. I'm not sure where at but whoever has here, is getting a game-changer. Quinn played up on the 16U New Balance team for Kingdom Hoops out of Des Moines the last six months and she held her own at high rates. You can tell that Quinn is used to blowing by her defender off the bounce from behind the three point line, usually finishing the take in a floater of some type in the middle of the lane. She can also handle at a such an impressive rate that she can manipulate the basketball easily within small amounts of space. From there, who knows what might happen. If everyone sags off and drops into help, she can hit a three off the bounce while stepping back. If they play up, she will go right by them and make them pay. The 2030 and 2031 Classes in Iowa are extremely impressive with top level talent. It's maybe the most impressive I've seen in my time covering this state over the last several years.

Addie Mauer played up a grade level this AAU season while averaging 9.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 1 APG, and 1.5 SPG as one of her team's starting Guard's on the outside. If she were to rebound and bring the rock down the floor then she would run the PG position but she gravitates more towards the 2 or the 3 spot than anything else. Skill wise she has a nice handle, good vision, and a smart head on her shoulders on both ends. It's nice to see Mauer's consistency on the different types of floors over the years. She averages identical numbers during the Winter szn as one of her team's top players so it only makes sense.

We should be able to see more and more out of Tessa Carmichael of Dowling Catholic this Winter during her Junior season with the Maroons. Carmichael is an agile CG, that really understands the movement within the sport. She never stops moving on offense as she looks for openings each time down the court. When it's swung to her, she can attack off of the dribble and finish through contact at the bucket or she can settle and knock down a jumper when the defense becomes lazy. All AAU season Carmichael has been a consistent role player for her Kingdom 17U New Balance team and that's noteworthy moving forward into the high school season.
