I-35 Showcase Coverage Notes: Top Performers | Part 1

Including offers just this past week. At 5'11 Avery has the size and skill set to play multiple positions. On offense she showed the 3-point shot which drew the defense out allowing her to play her downhill game which she is best at</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense Avery is physically enough to defend a 5 and with a long body able to also defend the wing. Great up the floor vision by throwing the long passes to the lead player for easy points in transition. Showed good handles as the point having truly little issues with any press. Attached the open gaps from the wings resulting to getting to the bucket. Made nice reads on the help by throwing the drop pass to the backside open player. But I would not list her just a shooting guard as she beings a mid-range game and off the ball game to the court. High IQ player that does an excellent job at keeping proper spacing and relocating setting up for the 3-point shot. The ball handling skill set also allows her to play points at times if needed. Listed at 5'10 and a solid frame makes this PG/SG a matchup problem at times. Aggressive downhill driver to go along with her shooting abilities is a perfect fit for a guard spread offense. The size also allowed to defend the 3-4 size on defense. Impressive guard that knows how to win as her high school team is among the best in the state. Her play actually helps guide her team to an outstanding win Sunday. A versatile guard that was impressive with her mid-range play and toughness on the offensive glass. A player I have seen before and aware of the outside shooting as well. A 2027 guard that has great size and height. A very athletic guard that was attacking downhill from the wing. Show the outside shot by knocking down the 3. Good reads on the drives understanding when to get to the rim or shoot the floater.
