The final day of Northwood Team Camp featured plenty of talented guards who helped drive their teams with smart decision-making, timely scoring, and relentless effort. Whether they were creating offense off the dribble, knocking down perimeter shots, setting up teammates, or making an impact on the defensive end, these backcourt players consistently found ways to influence the game. The following guards turned in strong performances on Sunday and played key roles in helping their teams compete throughout the day's action.    Emma, a guard for Midland, continues to show steady improvement every time I see her on the floor since returning from injury, and her performance at Northwood Team Camp reflected that growth. She knocked down multiple shots from beyond the arc, giving her team valuable spacing and outside scoring. Off the dribble, she used a sharp crossover to separate from defenders and create driving lanes, and she also flashed her athleticism on the defensive end with a well-timed block. Emma competed with a hard-nosed mentality throughout, playing with a constant motor and bringing energy on both ends of the floor.     Maci, a guard for Troy, brings an intriguing blend of length and athleticism that makes her a player to watch for college coaches. She handles the ball well and keeps defenders guessing with her behind-the-back dribble and ability to change direction smoothly. Maci is effective at getting downhill, using her speed and length to pressure the defense and create driving opportunities. Geselle, a guard for Powers Catholic, had a productive showing at Northwood Team Camp with her ability to score at multiple levels. She knocked down shots from beyond the arc, showing confidence and consistency as a perimeter threat. Geselle also attacked the basket with purpose, finishing through contact and using a crafty left-handed finish to convert in traffic. On the defensive end, she competed well and provided steady pressure, helping her team with her effort and positioning. Her balanced scoring ability and defensive toughness made her a reliable contributor throughout the day.     Delaney, a guard for Stevenson, showcased her ability to attack the basket and finish through traffic at Northwood Team Camp. She repeatedly made strong drives to the rim, keeping the ball high on her finishes to avoid defenders and convert in the paint. As a slasher, she used her length and athleticism to consistently put pressure on the defense, getting downhill with purpose. Delaney also showed excellent body control around the basket, adjusting in midair to finish through contact or around shot blockers. On the defensive end, she used her length effectively to contest shots and disrupt passing lanes, making her a steady presence on both sides of the floor.
