Every successful team has them. They may not always lead the box score, but they impact winning in countless ways that don't always show up on a stat sheet. These are the players who defend, rebound, make the extra pass, dive for loose balls, communicate, and consistently make the right basketball play. At Run 4 the Roses, these glue players proved just how valuable they are, and they deserve far more attention from college coaches looking for competitors who elevate everyone around them.

Newby showed why she is one of the most complete wing/forwards in the event. The 6' prospect ran the floor extremely well, attacked defenders off the bounce, and consistently finished around the basket. She also stepped outside and knocked down perimeter shots, making her a difficult matchup. On the defensive end, she protected the paint, rebounded at a high level, amazing passes and made winning plays throughout the tournament.

When a team needed a big play, Jaycelyn seemed to deliver it. Whether it was knocking down a timely three, making the extra pass, grabbing a huge rebound, or coming up with a momentum-changing block, she impacted every phase of the game. Her basketball IQ and ability to make the right play over and over made her one of the true glue players at Run 4 the Roses.

Grider quietly put together one of the most fundamentally sound performances of the tournament. She played relentless on-ball defense, made life difficult for opposing guards and wings, and rarely made mistakes with the basketball. Offensively, she consistently found open cutting lanes, moved without the ball, and made smart decisions every possession. Her effort, toughness, and team-first mentality were on display every time she stepped on the floor.

Isenberg proved to be one of the more versatile players in attendance. She scored from all three levels, defended multiple positions, and battled on the glass against bigger players. Her defensive versatility allowed her to guard guards, wings, and posts effectively, while her high basketball IQ helped her make winning plays on both ends throughout the tournament.

One of the younger standouts at the event, Jadeyn consistently produced against older competition. She shot the mid-range jumper and three-ball with confidence, led her team in scoring, and used her length to impact both ends of the floor. Her feel for the game and decision-making were well beyond her age, making her a player with a very bright future.

Playing up three age groups is impressive by itself. Excelling while doing it is another story. Ehringer more than held her own in the highly competitive ICON 32 bracket, knocking down three-pointers, finishing through contact, delivering excellent passes to cutters and post players, and competing defensively against much older players. Instead of looking overwhelmed, she looked like she belonged from the opening tip.

Howard can easily be overlooked on a loaded GRC roster, but her impact was impossible to ignore at Run 4 the Roses. Her athleticism allowed her to create turnovers at the top of the press, defend players of all sizes, and disrupt opposing offenses. Rather than forcing shots, she focused on making teammates better, controlling the tempo, and doing whatever her team needed to win.

Playing several years up didn't faze Lainey one bit. She brought relentless ball pressure, made smart passes, and moved extremely well both with and without the basketball. Most importantly, she never looked intimidated by the older competition. She competed with confidence, made winning plays, and showed she belongs on the floor regardless of age.
