Laylee is a prospect I'm really high on heading into this season. She averaged 11 points and four rebounds per game while posting awesome splits of 47/37/89 for a North Laurel team that made its fourth straight trip to the Sweet 16. Laylee has good size and is a smooth operator on the floor. She can shoot it out the gym, and she has a solid enough handle to create for herself off the dribble. There's a lot to like about her game, and she has plenty of upside as she continues to develop.

Another prospect I'm really high on going into the season is [player_tooltip player_id='1357906' first='Dani' last='McAlarnis']. As an eighth grader, she led Knott Central with 16 points per game while shooting 47% from the field and an 43% from three. Her production helped guide the Lady Patriots to a district title and an appearance in the region championship game. Dani is an amazing three-point shooter with impressive accuracy and deep range. She has a great feel for the game, plays with confidence, and already shows the ability to make a major impact offensively. She will be a star in the 14th region for years to come.

Nyla put up 8.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season while showing flashes of what she can become with several breakout performances for Eastern. She's an athletic guard who likes to get downhill and attack the rim. Nyla thrives in transition, plays with good energy, and does a nice job getting others involved. She also makes plays on the defensive end with her awareness and activity. I see big things ahead for her, and she's definitely a prospect to watch in the Louisville area this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1459490' first='Makenna' last='Marcum'] is a prospect to know at Martin County. She's a smaller guard who plays with some swag and confidence. Makenna is shifty with a flashy handle and a deep offensive bag, allowing her to break defenders down off the dribble and create scoring opportunities for herself. She's a crafty finisher around the rim and also has deep range as a catch-and-shoot threat. Makenna looks poised for an even bigger freshman season as she steps into a larger role and looks to become one of the top options for the Lady Cardinals.

Kymber is extremely fast with the ball in her hands, loves to push the tempo, and is a good finisher at the rim. Her defense is her calling card, in my opinion. She's a menace on that end of the floor, applying immense pressure and making life difficult for opposing guards. Kymber can make a strong case the best perimeter defender in the class. She looks poised to step into a bigger role for the Lady Purples as a freshman and is definitely a prospect to watch this season.
