Summer Film Study: Uncommitted Prospects Making Their Case

I see Loria as more of a D2, D3, NAIA, or JUCO SF to kick off her college career. She currently competes with a good pace of play down the court, she has a soft touch on the ball, her coordination is there, and she knows how to move into opportunity on both offense and defense. She can step up and knock down buckets at the rim through contact and she can defend the rim with ease, even when it might not be her own defensive assignment. I would have to concur that Westerfield checks a lot of boxes that college recruiters look for. She is reactionary, she has natural athletic ability, and sometimes she makes some plays that will make you do a double-take because of her craftiness within that moment. I'm not sure if what interest EW has right now from the next level be she should have some options close to home to start out. From there? Boens, the 6'1 CG/SF, is someone that combines height, athletic ability, coordination, and a chip on the shoulder mentality. She can step up to play your team's 3 or she can move to the 4, depending on who is lined up around her. Boens has been a center piece this AAU season with her Lady Pure Prep program. She has been making impactful plays the last six months and it's stood out to everyone watching. This is a PG that I would consider pass-first but she is a lethal scoring threat when she is being taken lightly. If the defense comes out and doesn't make her a priority, it's going to be a LONG game and that speaks to the play-making ability she brings with her to the floor. We have seen Hough control pace of play with some talented rosters over the last few season and she has done a great job of putting up numbers during her time on the Varsity floor. Bokhary is a 5'10 PG with A LOT of length for her position. She has the reach to make some eye-opening plays on both sides of the basketball, as a creator and as a disruptor. Defensively she can switch onto any Guard-specific matchup because of her reach. She can even stick with Post players because of that reach. When it comes to offense, she is more of a passing threat but if you put a smaller defender on her, then she will end up in the Post, looking for an easy bucket with her height. All in all, Roosevelt has some ballers and this is one of them. AB should be a main piece to their puzzle this season as long as they play their cards correctly.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
