Tournament of Champions - Utah Champs

<p>Next Level Basketball (NLB Basketball) returned from Las Vegas after another successful weekend of competition, once again proving they can compete with top talent from across the West. Several players elevated their games throughout the event, helping the program make another strong statement. Today, we highlight a few of the athletes whose performances played a key role in the team's success and caught the attention of those in attendance.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">17U</h2>    <p>Olivia looked every bit the complete athlete last weekend. She scored at all three levels, attacking the rim, knocking down the mid-range, and stretching the floor from deep. Her aggressive mindset showed on both ends of the floor, where she consistently made winning plays.</p>   <p>Defensively, she was just as impactful. She protected the rim with well-timed contests, locked in on the ball defensively, and rebounded at an exceptional rate. Her ability to influence the game in so many different ways makes her one of those players who fills up every column of the stat sheet while elevating everyone around her.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">This was one of Riley's best tournaments of the year and a clear step forward in both her confidence and aggressiveness. She played with much more purpose on both ends of the floor, making her presence felt around the basket as a rim protector while controlling the glass with her length and timing. Offensively, she used that same length to finish efficiently around the rim, showing improved touch and confidence attacking inside. If this level of play continues, Riley's stock is only going to keep rising.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">16U</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Mayci's motor never shuts off. She's constantly playing with aggression on both ends of the floor, creating deflections, diving after loose balls, and making the hustle plays that don't always show up in the box score but change the momentum of a game. She also shot the ball with confidence all weekend, knocking down perimeter shots and making defenses pay when they left her open. Her energy, toughness, and willingness to do the little things make her an invaluable piece on both ends of the floor.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Emma gives her team another option to handle the ball from the wing and initiate the offense. Coming off ball screens, she does a great job getting downhill to score or finding open teammates on the perimeter. An outstanding three-point shooter, Emma consistently knocked down timely shots all weekend and proved she can make defenses pay from beyond the arc.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Halle is simply a player who plays hard every possession. She competed on the glass all weekend, rebounding at a high level, and came up with some big three-pointers in key moments. Her energy, toughness, and willingness to do the dirty work make her an important contributor every time she steps on the floor.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Karstin played up this weekend and looked right at home. She ran the floor extremely well, consistently turning transition opportunities into easy baskets with her ability to catch and finish in stride. She also showed impressive ball-handling for her size, creating offense while finding teammates cutting to the basket to keep the offense flowing during key stretches. Add in her ability to knock down the three, and Karstin proved she's a versatile offensive weapon who impacts the game in multiple ways.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">15U</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Zoey is a strong, quick guard who made life difficult for opposing ball handlers all weekend. She consistently pressured the ball, creating turnovers that led directly to easy transition baskets, while taking on the challenge of defending the other team's top player each game. Offensively, Zoey thrives on the wing, where her explosive first step allows her to get downhill, attack the rim, and finish through contact. Her defensive intensity and ability to create offense make her a difference-maker on both ends of the floor.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lexi was outstanding all weekend, setting the tone with her physical defense and ability to force turnovers. She played with great pace, handled defensive pressure with confidence, and consistently got her team into its offense. Offensively, she's a dynamic driver who attacked the paint, finished through contact, and also knocked down timely three-pointers. Her toughness and poise make her a true two-way guard who impacts the game in multiple ways.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Ellie was one of the top players in the 15U division this weekend. She dominated on both ends of the floor, consistently stepping up whenever her team needed a basket and delivering in big moments. Defensively, she seemed to come up with every key play, whether it was a stop, a rebound, or forcing a turnover. Ellie put together an outstanding tournament and showed why she's one of the premier players in her class.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Sidney had a tremendous tournament, shooting the ball at an elite level from beyond the arc. She consistently stretched defenses and knocked down big shots throughout the weekend. On the defensive end, her length created problems for opponents, allowing her to contest shots, disrupt passing lanes, and impact possessions. It was one of her best performances to date and showed that she's taken her game to another level.</p>
